RE: Food Fighters - Ton - 11-16-2012 So I got bored. RE: Food Fighters - Natis - 11-16-2012 Oh! I like that a lot! I originally wanted to make him a 3 layered cake, but was afraid he would be too tall compared to the other fighters. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with his other hand. It just seems odd that it is not there yet. I know in the drawing his is holding a candle in his right hand, but since the hotdog character is already using a spear in his right hand, I didn't want to have two people almost standing the same, so I put it in his left hand. RE: Food Fighters - Ton - 11-16-2012 You could nix the feet/legs and have him shuffle around? He could leave an icing trail, haha. RE: Food Fighters - Crappy Blue Luigi - 11-16-2012 shouldn't a king appear high above his subjects? RE: Food Fighters - alexmach1 - 11-16-2012 an alternative design would be to have a walking cake throne with a fruit character on top. the eyes seem a tad creepy being thin white lines, so another alternative is to use the "giant eyebrows covering the eyes" old guy look. RE: Food Fighters - Ton - 11-17-2012 Mine looks like the Pringles guy. RE: Food Fighters - OverlordNext - 11-17-2012 (11-16-2012, 01:18 PM)Tonberry2k Wrote: So I got bored. That is a great king of cakes! He really looks of power!! RE: Food Fighters - Natis - 11-17-2012 Anyway, took another go at the Egg Jester. For his legs I wanted to have "Chicken legs" broken out of the Egg. He still doesn't have his arms yet, but I'm sure they will show up in time. lol I also changed his smile. I wasn't happy with the old one and wasn't "smiling" over it. (haha... bad play on words anyone?) Hopefully this one is better! RE: Food Fighters - Previous - 11-18-2012 The far leg appears to be longer than the close one. Also, its shin is much longer than the thigh. RE: Food Fighters - Ton - 11-21-2012 Yep. RE: Food Fighters - OverlordNext - 11-22-2012 Haha he got blood ketchup on the sword! I had a few seconds of free time to make this quick fix. I haven't gotten much time to work on this throughout Thanksgiving week and this week I have my college finals for the trimester. Hopefully after this week I can get back into the swing of things! RE: Food Fighters - Previous - 11-28-2012 Try to keep upper and lower arm / leg parts at equal length. For the far length, try to visualise in your mind how it extends behing the egg shape, I think it starts too low, too. RE: Food Fighters - Natis - 12-07-2012 Added to my notebook of what needs improving! Should be a quick fix. Also, I have a quick wip of the "Time-Traveling Ice Cream Cone" Since everything is supposed to be medieval theme, I threw in a character from the future. His arms/legs will be mechanical/cybernetics. RE: Food Fighters - Gors - 12-08-2012 "Since everything is supposed to be medieval theme, I threw in a character from the future." what, why? That doesn't make sense. Please elaborate. anyway this project's issues aren't even the spriting itself (yeah, it can be better) but the main issue is the character design. They need to take more advantage of the 'food' theme with claver references. For example, Tonberry's burger knight looks better in concept because of the french fry sword and pickle shield: they have to do with the character, both as knight and hamburger. You should go for this in all the designs. |
