I wouldve invented t-shirts with zipers RE: Zombie Maximus - Zombie TDS - Bombshell93 - 12-14-2012 so this isn't directly related to this project but I did think I should give top-down sprites another go with a better understanding of colour pallets, here is what I came up with. it takes obvious inspiration from this http://www.pixeljoint.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=12795 I figured I'd mention it, I found the use of the colours very interesting and rather liked the styles so I tried to emulate them, in doing so I've got a better understanding of pallets and I hope this shows in my future works. RE: Zombie Maximus - Zombie TDS - Dazz - 12-17-2012 It's hard to really judge the palette without knowing what sort of theme you're going for; cartoony, gritty, etc. RE: Zombie Maximus - Zombie TDS - Bombshell93 - 12-17-2012 that pallet experiment I've moved into a thread of its own where I currently have 2 pallet experiments going http://www.spriters-resource.com/community/showthread.php?tid=22113 the TDS sprite I explain as tropical and vibrant, and then I have another aiming for a gloomy forest. As for news on this thread, I'm working on the collision detection for the game at the moment so I can have gameplay going while I'm working on the graphics, I'll be updating when I've done most of the legs. |
