RE: Controller Experiences - Gwen - 02-24-2014 Console isn't shit(it's quite rad actually), and the controller feels great, although pushing in buttons sometimes feels a bit weightless RE: Controller Experiences - SchAlternate - 02-25-2014 (02-24-2014, 05:06 AM)Vipershark Wrote: The only N64 game that I can think of that FORCED the use of the D-Pad was Kirby 64. Otherwise, why would your hand even be on that part of the controller? That, and the Pokemon Stadium games I believe. RE: Controller Experiences - Kriven - 02-25-2014 I'm pretty sure Mischief Makers also required the D-Pad. RE: Controller Experiences - Vipershark - 02-25-2014 X/A is so, so, so much better than Nintendo's B/A Your right thumb naturally rests in that direction when it's put on the controller. RE: Controller Experiences - Maxpphire - 02-25-2014 It's a 3rd party controller. The Razer Onza. It's honestly the best controller I've handled, and I've also only used it for pc games. RE: Controller Experiences - Helmo - 02-25-2014 that D-Pad is good? hmm looks kind odd RE: Controller Experiences - Kosheh - 02-25-2014 (02-25-2014, 09:48 AM)Helmo Wrote: that D-Pad is good? hmm looks kind odd kind odd i was wondering the same myself. this controller looks like it'd be good in like call of duty where you don't need a d-pad. for casual babby shoot game. but how would it handle in fighting game???? king of fighter??? The Afterglow controller. You guys may remember me posting about buying it on a whim a while back, but I'm so, so glad I did. It's a wired controller so I only use it for PC games, but its shape is just ever so slightly different than the original 360 controller which causes it to feel really really comfortable in your hands. The plastic for the controller is glossy and smooth, but it doesn't get slippery during long sessions or if your hands get sweaty, and the controller just feels really sturdy overall. I have to say that this is the best 3rd party controller I've ever used, though it does have a few drawbacks:
edit- Now that the Xbone is out I'm waiting for 360 controller prices to bomb so I can buy up a bunch of them to use as PC controllers RE: Controller Experiences - Helmo - 02-25-2014 Batarang 360 looks pretty good LED changes 7 different colors and the D-Pad looks a lot better RE: Controller Experiences - -ΒΌ- - 02-25-2014 (02-25-2014, 04:22 PM)Vipershark Wrote: Ah yes! I remember having one too, but mine's colour (the light) was green. Wonderful experience, I can't believe I almost forgot about them. Unfortunately, some dumb animal thought that the wires were tasty... I'll let you guess what happened... RE: Controller Experiences - Gwen - 02-25-2014 I'm using one right now, great great great controller RE: Controller Experiences - Kriven - 02-25-2014 I have that same controller and love it. There's also a really nice Afterglow Wii Remote Mine's green and I love it for most game. The positioning of the + and - buttons make a lot more sense for most games. It looks weird, but it feels much more natural then a Playstation Dualshock D-Pad. |
