I was thinking of making the overworld icons x2 and the battle icons x1, since they tend to be larger. I can always change the icon though!

I think it's generally better to be as consistent throughout as you can. Otherwise people will see the over world icons, and they'll be bigger than the battle icons, when the sprites are actually smaller.

Saying that, 2x does look good.
