RE: Sonic Legacy: Rebirth of the Chaos Emeralds - SonicChrono - 01-27-2009 Since there is NOTHING to add for my fangame, I'm putting it on hold for a while because I'm making newer music for the game of my own. RE: Sonic Legacy: Rebirth of the Chaos Emeralds - DDomega - 02-07-2009 I feel quite sorry for SonicChrono. I understand that he was being a bit childish and dramatic but i think you possibly went a little hard on him. I looked back at some of your posts and found that instead of pointing out the errors and showing him how to fix them or what would possibly be a better idea. I saw people just pointing out the errors and saying how bad it was. I do think though if it was the first fangame you were going to publish you should have not posted about it. As you can see, by posting about it you've already changed YOUR ideas. For example i am an aspiring writer and i'm not going to let the public decide the ideas for stories. I'm pretty sure you resented changing your ideas for the people of the forum. I think that if you're going to make something which has a story, then you have to like it. If you like it who cares what people think. I am sure you're not going to make money out of it, so why change it? Of course it would have to make sense but as long as you like the story then the game will be fine. When you like the story you show more enthusiasm, the more enthusiasm the better the work. This is your version of the story and you can work around these minor problems by adding a backstory. For example: Tuna Unleashed wrote: Doesn't really make sense. 1. Eggman has never heard of Erazor Djinn 2. Dark Gaia JUST WOKE UP so he would be pathetically weak 3. 4. Learn to type. Perhaps your game could be years after the story of erazor Djinn. Perhaps the story was leaked through to eggman, or mabye he read about it? It's your game you decide. You could say that Dark Gaia was regenerated. Again it's up to you. For the Werehog side, perhaps some of the genetic genes of the werehog were spread when he was ill or wounded. There are many possibilities. However i think this comment was ridiculous "Learn to type" . You pointed out all the errors without any ACTUAL constructive critiscism and then you just had to rub it in by putting him down. After many explanations and plot changes i'm not surprised he's put the game on hold. It's your story, anything can happen. RE: Sonic Legacy: Rebirth of the Chaos Emeralds - tsr moderation staff - 02-08-2009 So your saying there's no such thing as a bad plot? Bull. RE: Sonic Legacy: Rebirth of the Chaos Emeralds - DDomega - 02-08-2009 No. I quite agree with you there is such a thing as a bad plot. However, i do not believe in this case SonicChrono has a bad plot. Merely a few errors which could be easily changed. RE: Sonic Legacy: Rebirth of the Chaos Emeralds - tsr moderation staff - 02-08-2009 well, it just doesn't make sense. It has many flaws that can't be remedied as easily as "just because", [spoilers] such as Dark Gaia being stronger when he comes back even though he was just sealed in the earth, leaving him powerless [/spoilers] , or eggman turning sonic into the werehog again even though he knows that sonic is still capable of beating him in that form and isn't susceptible to corruption. RE: Sonic Legacy: Rebirth of the Chaos Emeralds - DDomega - 02-08-2009 Yes. I quite agree. If there are too many flaws then it cannot be remedied. RE: Sonic Legacy: Rebirth of the Chaos Emeralds - Alpha Six - 02-08-2009 WHAT THE HELL IS EVEN HAPPENING IN THIS TOPIC RE: Sonic Legacy: Rebirth of the Chaos Emeralds - Geo the Fox - 02-09-2009 (02-08-2009, 02:43 PM)Tyvonnosaurus Rex Wrote: WHAT THE HELL IS EVEN HAPPENING IN THIS TOPIC I quite agree with this sentiment. RE: Sonic Legacy: Rebirth of the Chaos Emeralds - DDomega - 02-10-2009 Basically i was trying to encourage SoniChrono to think for himself. Instead of letting others do that for him. RE: Sonic Legacy: Rebirth of the Chaos Emeralds - SonicChrono - 02-15-2009 BTW, the reason why I put the game on hold is because I don't have ANYONE here to help me work on it so I can give them credit in return. I can't make custom poses of sprites for battles and the overworld by myself without a team! I can't request anymore because of that rule and this game will be canceled if NO ONE here want to help me! I am not gonna calm down until this criticism about my own storyline plot ends now. >_> I've been new here since two months ago. RE: Sonic Legacy: Rebirth of the Chaos Emeralds - ArcaneAssassin - 02-15-2009 If you need help with the storyline, I'll help. Any rules against that? No? Well, fantastic then. Can I? RE: Sonic Legacy: Rebirth of the Chaos Emeralds - ArcaneAssassin - 02-18-2009 So what are we working on right now? |
