I admit, much better than my project =P and miles already showed you my website sooo... I know you already don't want edits, but I am going to show you sprites of Marin that weren't edits that were made by someone named TinSil:

this project looks good, so here's something to relieve you of making Marin sprites. if I could, I would help out with the project (making custom stuffs) but I am quite busy....

It's a pretty good start. I made a few alterations based on his official art.

There isn't any official art for that, that I know of. What you have there looks like a racoon/wolf hybrid. I'll take a crack at his tanooki form later actually. As for his human form, it looks good, but keep everything from the nose down the same. He's suposed to be chuby, and by the looks of it, you are just taking his head and posting it on an edited Link body. Also, his eyes look creepy now. Like he's overly excited about something. Also, the scarf thing looks wierd on yours.

If anything maybe you could edit the legs on the edited one I made. And remember, he is wearing pants, not a tunic.

Also, not everything needs to be based off of Link. The tanooki would prabably be smaller.

I think that the raccoon should be human-sized.
As for your edit, his eyes look too relaxed, and I would put his belt down a few pixels.

Yep, I did that. I checked some sprites on TSR and they're not just limited to Link fac-similes. I think I'll make him a bit bigger and wider than Link, similar to the workers.

His eyes should look relaxed. He's a very relaxed person throught the game. As for the tanuki, the current face you have now just doesn't work. It looks like some kinda wolf.

I think I'll stick to your raccoon face, which is closer to the original than mine... I tried to make a mix of both Tarin and the raccoon but failed. So I'm glad you made that ed.

tarin looks a lot better (not sure if it fit's the style Shyguy Grey is going for though, but still awesome) and the tanooki is looking good so far, keep it up! I may actually help with this project if I have time.
