It looks good with the rounded snout, and the stubby arms. What more can I do to help get the grass starter complete? I'm not much of a concept artist, but I am not too shabby when it comes to pixeling. (I feel a bit motivated to aid the project right now.) Also, would it be okay if I made an attempt toward spriting "Spino?" That is, since it seems the general idea for him is agreed upon? RE: TSR PokeDex Project - mutantyoshi - 02-09-2011 I think thats a good idea. I also decided to try and sprite it (i'm ok in the style...), and based it upon Sketchasaurus' new version of it. I believe they've said they thought it would be a good idea to use Charizard as the hight....and thats what I came up with I know it needs work, but I think I'll leave that to you guys, since like I said, not that great in the stlye. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Sketchasaurus - 02-10-2011 I figured I'd have a go at proposing a design for the Ichthyosaurus Fossil Pokémon; Borrowed the idea of water jets from Mutantyoshi. I figured that if the fossils were to evolve, the Ichthyosaurus could evolve into a lLiopleurodon or a kind of mosasaur; but that's up for discussion. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - FlyingMonkey - 02-10-2011 Quick Body based off of the sprite mutantyoshi made. Also, I like that Ichthyosaurus very much! RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Sengir - 02-10-2011 Dear God I'm loving the vibes I get from this project. Everyone's collaborating very nicely, and with great-looking results too! Of all the custom Pokedex projects I've seen on the web this is by far my favorite. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - FlyingMonkey - 02-10-2011 *sigh* I am not at all satisfied with the sprite. But I'm a little too tired today to fix it up any more. Feel free to add the final details, and fix any problems you see with it. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Sengir - 02-10-2011 Are you saving those parts? Because we could do Black/White animations with them. I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure Koopaul decided that doing BW animations would take too much time. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Sketchasaurus - 02-10-2011 Here's a little bit of spritework on the spino design. Feel free to use this as a base if necessary. Also, I made a concept sketch of the Grass Starter's first evo. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - FlyingMonkey - 02-10-2011 (02-10-2011, 04:40 PM)Sengir Wrote: Are you saving those parts? Because we could do Black/White animations with them. I just thought that it might be easier to edit if I kept some tiles. (I do that with all my sprites.) So yes, I have the tiles for both this sprite and the grass starter. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Sketchasaurus - 02-10-2011 I've been really interested in this project lately and want to aid in creating a good batch of fan Pokémon. here's another concept sketch for the grass starter evolution line: RE: TSR PokeDex Project - FlyingMonkey - 02-10-2011 I tried to make the sprite a little more "in style." But I've been having a little trouble considering I have never made Pokemon sprites before this project. Also: As far as I'm concerned those two sketches are perfect for the grass starter! Nice work man! RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Fizzy Bubbles - 02-10-2011 (02-10-2011, 06:35 PM)FlyingMonkey Wrote: Really, you never made Pokémon sprites before? Your AWESOME! They actually look close enough to be official! RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Sketchasaurus - 02-10-2011 Can't decide which Colour scheme to use (although I'm leaning towards using C which is the same as B except for the petals on his elbows being the colour of the frill.) RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Baegal - 02-10-2011 Loving that design. I think either b or c would work, maybe the runner up could be the gender difference? Right now, the only thing I see that could be better is to maybe give it some reptilian skin? The batter makes me kinda think of fur, and I don't think that's the impression you're trying to give off. |
