RE: Ripping Questions - Asther - 03-26-2010 Have you started yet anyway Tyeforce? It's a lot easier to, you know, answer questions as they come up instead of writing a whole tutorial. I was able to extract the files from the Pokémon HeartGold ROM, as I said yesterday. But I can't find an application that will extract the .narc files, so I've hit a dead end. RE: Ripping Questions - Asther - 03-26-2010 I googed "ds narc files" "extract pokemon ds narc" and other stuff like that looks like Tahaxan has support with some NARCs and there's also NarcTool and Narc Explorer. And every other application I found either didn't have a download link or the link was expired. Do you have a download link for any of those? RE: Ripping Questions - Maneko - 03-26-2010 You don't want help, you want a magical program that automatically rip the sprites and save them into a neatly organized sheet for you. You asked for help, you got the help and it was posted in this very same thread, but you insist of fishing for a magical solution that doesn't involves having to do any work at all. RE: Ripping Questions - Ultimecia - 03-26-2010 Well, I decided to stop helping after I explained 2 ways to rip and told the name of two programs to extract directly from the rom and you kept repeating the same question, even after people started to repeat it. Not long ago (not even 10 pages) someone explained how to use taxahan in details, you ignored it. Somebody mentioned a pokemon-directed program, you didn't even ask the name of the program. You just want to snap your fingers and make the sprites magically appear before you. I'm going to tell you this: there ARE easy ways to extract sprites from some games and systems and get as the way it's stored, but not all games or systems have this. And except for some mobile phone games, most all sprite ripping are really time-consuming, specially when you're learning. You're not going to learn by magic. Have you tried to google "NarcTool" and/or "Narc Explorer"? (yup, with the " ). Some programs requires you use them with some other tools. It was damn near impossible to find a download link for it, though. And my problem with Taxahan isn't that I don't know how to use it, it's that it won't even open on my computer! It gives me an error and quits. Also, I did ask the name of the Pokémon ripping application, but I was ignored. Tyeforce Wrote:What is this program and where can I find it??I'm not looking for some "magic" solution. I know that there's going to be some work involved. All I'm asking is for a .narc file extractor. How is that asking for a magic application? I know one must exist, because people have done it. No, I haven't searched for NarcTool and/or Narc Explorer yet, but only because I had to go to work shortly after that was posted. I just now got back, so I'll do that now. I doubt I'll be able to find a working download link, though, because so far I've had absolutely no luck with any application I find. >_> RE: Ripping Questions - Ultimecia - 03-27-2010 The first 3 links I got for DSLazy were fine. Easy-share, a random blog and GBATemp Here: NarcTool (first link I got) Narc Explorer A pack with lots of Pokemon ripping tools RE: Ripping Questions - Tyeforce - 03-27-2010 (03-27-2010, 01:54 AM)Ultimecia Wrote: The first 3 links I got for DSLazy were fine. Easy-share, a random blog and GBATempTHANK YOU!! I'll test it out in the morning and hopefully everything goes well. RE: Ripping Questions - Davy Jones - 03-27-2010 Srsly, how is that possible? Pentagulia map, complete area: http://rpg-home.lunar-net.com/lunarweb/lunar2web/town12.htm My rip with all things you can actually see in the game: http://www.spriters-resource.com/psx_ps2/lunar2ebc/sheet/30105 Compare both maps, how can someone manage to get full access of a map viewer like that? Or is that program freeware and available in the internet? RE: Ripping Questions - Deathbringer - 03-27-2010 Probably a walk through walls code for the Gameshark, since his maps still have people on them,, which a map viewer would probably not include. RE: Ripping Questions - Davy Jones - 03-27-2010 This makes sense, but I really can't find this code, only things like NoEnemies and InfiniteHealth. Does anybody know a good site where I can find such cheats? EDIT: Never mind, I've found it: http://cheats.codetwink.com/psx/view/1445/11/ RE: Ripping Questions - Deathbringer - 03-27-2010 I thought CodeTwink was just a forum now? That's what happens when I don't look around. RE: Ripping Questions - Davy Jones - 03-28-2010 okay, now I have the pec (psx emulation cheater) from this site: http://pec.duttke.de/download.php and the codes for walking thru walls from codetwink... but how can I use them? I can't find a method to add the codes by myself and pec has no ready-made section for Lunar EBC: http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/8117/snag0232.png With the [pec]-chu I can search for some codes, but I can't use my own. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ EDIT: Okay, it was the key F3, here is a "real" tutorial: http://www.emuxhaven.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6487 And grrr, two problems are solved and now there is a third (and last) one which bothers me: http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/5899/snag0235.png The codes from codetwink are not working and I really don't know why~ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT2: omfg the infinite money cheat works, I think I will try a little bit more (the walk thru walls-cheat has many more lines than infinite money). But I think my problem is solved =) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT3: ARGH, nothing is solved, pec doesn't accept the Walk thru walls-code (but InfiniteMoney & InfiniteRunning, very weird). I can do what I want, it doesn't work >=O Final Edit (and for everyone else): (04-13-2010, 11:45 AM)Deathbringer Wrote: I got the Walk Through Walls cheat working, the full code listing had Joker Commands to turn on and to turn off. RE: Ripping Questions - Ectevy - 04-14-2010 I have a problem to rip textures from psx games (I use PVV). For many textures there is many pallettes of colors. It's possible to fixed all pallettes in the same time? |
