RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Thor - 05-30-2011 Larvesta. Working on Zweilous later. Should I repost my Hydreigon and Volcarona for the first post's sake? RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Garamonde - 05-30-2011 Here's Roselia. ...But I need help with its right (our left) rose. I don't know how to draw roses at all (let alone in 8-bit style, so I think I did decently) and I'm not overly happy with how it came out. The rest of its body (the head was the hardest) was quite a bit of work but I think it's pretty good. I also know that its right (again, our left) thorn on its head doesn't look angled to the side enough but I don't know how to fix it without making it look ugly, I've tried. But then it's one of my very first good sprites, so yeah. RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Chris2Balls [:B] - 05-30-2011 fishmuffin, you've done a great job of larvesta! i think the neck area could be narrower. i also think the arms are too long. the rose on the left could do with more work, keep tweaking it! try working on the shape of the head, think of it like a balloon shape: see how it's done on the sprite, and the artwork. it's really not bad at all. keep it up! RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Garamonde - 05-30-2011 Actually, funny thing, that was the EXACT artwork I was using for reference. XD But seriously, I was actually going for its head to be kind of angled "down-left"-ways, but I guess I failed. I'll see if I can round it a bit more. The neck I tried to make smaller but wasn't sure how because I'm a perfectionist and if one tiny pixel doesn't look good to me I change it (usually resulting in changing other parts). Anyhow I'll try the rose again and see what I can do with it, thanks. RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Perseus - 05-30-2011 Patrat Anything to improve on? Also I'm claiming Scraggy next RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Garamonde - 05-30-2011 It feels like it could use a bit more lighting IMO (like on the knee or something) but otherwise great! Completely redoing the rose and making some cool touch-ups on Roselia, it's gonna be beautiful. RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Thor - 05-30-2011 I can barely distinguish between the forehead and the eyes. Maybe make the eyes a tan colour with a white circle instead of brown with a tan circle? RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Chris2Balls [:B] - 05-30-2011 ike, i think you could benefit from taking raticate's palette for patrat. RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Perseus - 05-30-2011 Ok, I'm editing it now RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Garamonde - 05-30-2011 Roselia (again)! BEFORE: AFTER: RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Perseus - 05-30-2011 The roses are looking much better and so is the head RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Thor - 05-30-2011 That looks exponentially better. RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Garamonde - 05-30-2011 Yay thank you all. I wanna claim Buneary (4th Gen.) now. RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Perseus - 05-30-2011 Ok, I've used Raticate's palette, changed the eye colour and added more light to some areas RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Chris2Balls [:B] - 05-30-2011 mhh that still looks dark. i kept raticate's orange and added meowth's beige, plus made a few tweaks. |
