RE: Sonic the Hedgehog Classic - Asther - 03-23-2010 S1 and SCD didn't show the body. RE: Sonic the Hedgehog Classic - Iceman404 - 03-23-2010 Look at the Sonic 1, 2, and 3 sprites. Part of his body is visible. Thus, kinda balancing out the portrait. RE: Sonic the Hedgehog Classic - triptych - 03-23-2010 so because it was done in most of the games hes automatically required to do it himself great thought process there, skipper RE: Sonic the Hedgehog Classic - Iceman404 - 03-23-2010 All the other games made Sonic blue, so lets make him red! Seriously, I'm just saying it'd look better that way, why do you think Sega did it after for 2 and 3 straight? RE: Sonic the Hedgehog Classic - Alpha Six - 03-23-2010 But it looks fine as it is. So who cares? It's a small, unnecessary detail. RE: Sonic the Hedgehog Classic - triptych - 03-23-2010 right, because the color of sonic is clearly the problem here there's no problem with taking some artistic liberties when designing or revisiting something in fact, that's the whole point of revisiting something to approach it from a different artistic standpoint than you or the original artists did previously there is absolutely no reason for him to add the body other than to get you to shut the fuck up about making it look more like the other few sonic games RE: Sonic the Hedgehog Classic - Asther - 03-23-2010 I don't think this should be an issue. RE: Sonic the Hedgehog Classic - Alpha Six - 03-23-2010 No further discussion about the competence (or lack thereof, etc) of other members. This isn't the topic for that. RE: Sonic the Hedgehog Classic - Baegal - 03-23-2010 his face seems kinda squished. try widening it out RE: Sonic the Hedgehog Classic - Vipershark - 03-23-2010 the only thing I see about the signpost is that sonic's hand appears to be a little too far to the right in the other signposts, it's much closer to his head. at the range it's it, it looks like a bit of sonic's arm should be showing as well. RE: Sonic the Hedgehog Classic - Cobalt Blue - 03-23-2010 as it is now, it gives me the impresion that the hand is more of a cursor over a window rather than sonic's hand. seeing every singpost tells me the best one should be S2's one, since is the most balanced and dinamic in terms of anatomy vs space. the rest suffer from being a little too plain for their own sake. (Look at all the others did it) I don't understand any of what you said here :I Anyway, since it does look like a head with a cursor (and it looks kind of weird and without depth that way) I did an arm and a body, and brought the hand closer. I agree that it's a little detail but I guess it looks better like that. RE: Sonic the Hedgehog Classic - Iceman404 - 03-24-2010 Yeah its pretty hard to explain the mouth thing, but who cares? Anyways, it looks even better now with the body showing! RE: Sonic the Hedgehog Classic - S-Cpu - 03-24-2010 (03-23-2010, 04:59 PM)Iceman404 Wrote: His mouth should be long enough to reach his left eye, otherwise it means he has one gigantic forhead. (Look at all the others did it) I think he's trying to say that the right corner of Sonic's mouth should go past his left eye (from our point of view). That hand looks like something from Paper Mario... Nonetheless, Awesome job! RE: Sonic the Hedgehog Classic - Iceman404 - 03-24-2010 Yeah, that's what I'm trying to say! |
