RE: Smash Bros. 1985/Famicom Wars 2 - Dave - 05-24-2010 Well i like the idea of the final move, but can you show us soem animations on how it works? or better yet, show animatiosn of all the moves. That way you would kill two birds in one stone. RE: Smash Bros. 1985/Famicom Wars 2 - Iceman404 - 05-24-2010 Aww... But I'm too lazy! :< RE: Smash Bros. 1985/Famicom Wars 2 - Dave - 05-24-2010 Its ok, well you just take your rest then, you dont have to do it if you dont want to. RE: Smash Bros. 1985/Famicom Wars 2 - Iceman404 - 05-24-2010 RE: Smash Bros. 1985/Famicom Wars 2 - Dave - 05-24-2010 Seems nice so far, and nice presentation on the order. I really enjoy the style. RE: Smash Bros. 1985/Famicom Wars 2 - Iceman404 - 05-24-2010 Thanks Dave! RE: Smash Bros. 1985/Famicom Wars 2 - Cobalt Blue - 05-24-2010 now for the real deal, try a character thats not from any nintendo franchise or nto related to mario at all. because even when you can simply say "but i'm a mario fan" if you just limit yourself to make marios/luigis/nintendogs for the rest of your life, then, you're just limiting yourself so much it will end killing any initiative or spirit to attempt anything new, artistically speaking. in other words, drop the diaper, get out of your comfort zone -as scary as that sounds-. RE: Smash Bros. 1985/Famicom Wars 2 - Iceman404 - 05-24-2010 ...What? I'm only familiar with characters in Nintendo and Sega. Would it be okay if I tried something like Megaman? He's Capcom, and I'm not too familiar with the series. RE: Smash Bros. 1985/Famicom Wars 2 - Gors - 05-24-2010 yes. Doing new things help you to improve artistically. RE: Smash Bros. 1985/Famicom Wars 2 - triptych - 05-24-2010 (05-24-2010, 03:41 PM)Iceman404 Wrote: ...What? I'm only familiar with characters in Nintendo and Sega.try something that takes legitimate talent like an /original/ character (that means its not a character that already exists) (that means no mario) RE: Smash Bros. 1985/Famicom Wars 2 - Alpha Six - 05-24-2010 And not in a Mario style, either. Try making your own. RE: Smash Bros. 1985/Famicom Wars 2 - Cobalt Blue - 05-24-2010 make something entirely on your own. hence why "leave your comfort zone, or die making plumbers and hedgehogs". RE: Smash Bros. 1985/Famicom Wars 2 - Iceman404 - 05-24-2010 But can I still continue this too? I need to start Megaman later. RE: Smash Bros. 1985/Famicom Wars 2 - Cobalt Blue - 05-24-2010 its not an order nor a critique or anything like that, its an ~*~sugestion~*~so feel free to ~*~not~*~ ignore it. its like, giving you have the technique and/or the potential, you're overly limiting yourself to preexisting characters. not like you have to reinvent the wheel, but it seems you weakest point right now is the lack of originality in terms of content. its ok to make fan art, and its ok to be influenced by others, but you have grown quite an skill that its just being thrown at stuff making people say "oh look another mario". because thats what you have done to this point: another mario, another sonic, another 'x character'. and while -as i said- this is not something bad, it gets old quickly. risk yourself, try to create new concepts, new enviroments, expand yourself and your mind in other elements besides "mario sprites" because that would not only break any limit you could posibly have, but also it would help others understand your vision of the world and its surroundings, and eventually, understand yourself(as much as that sounds as a lame motivational poster). ironically, it would help you make better marios in the future. in the love topic, i saw you doing something new for the first time since you joined TSR: -as gay as this sounds- you did me. but it looked like mario, and felt like mario, and therefore, it was like 'mario cosplays as metaru' and not like 'iceman does metaru'. i am thankful for it(and i need to make it clear that i am so you wont ragequit this iniciative at this point and fothermore continue reading)(because i hope you've read this to this point and continue reading it). i am not 1up, but he and I are somehow similar, albeit we use diferent ways when we criticize what you have done so far. see for example how i haven't shown how much of a twit i still consider you are since that stupid drama you made a while ago, because to an extent i can understand it being part of one's development not only as an user but as a human being too. you still came back, (we believe) you learned from your mistakes, and still its an spriting forum for fucks sake so as long as you dont post porn you have as many chances to redeem yourself. although this time, despite not posting a giant FUCK OFF macro'ed image, i'm telling you this as a workd of advice from, lets say, someone who was an annoying arrogant piece of shit (although not fond of inflation fetish)user in the past. i already said this to you before in the past(although, in a non-direct way), and i feel like despite all the shitstorm you tend to cause(that you earned rightfully in the past) you decided to come back, decided to start all over, and has the innitiative to be better than you were in the past. if thats the case, you're welcome. of course, if you haven't learned anything and you're still iceman403, weel, you can fuck off and get out. RE: Smash Bros. 1985/Famicom Wars 2 - Maneko - 05-24-2010 If I may add something... I don't see what's the point of coming here, making all these Mario sprites, causing a fuss, drama and leaving forever, only to return after a few days and continue exactly from where you left (minus the drama, I'll give you that.) At least give it a try. After all, you have nothing to lose and plenty to win. |
