If this isn't hacked then I swear to god this has to be the best subliminal message ever.

fuck this is amusing.

RE: lavander town syndrome/lavander tone - Joseph Styling - 08-02-2010

it freezes the game if you catch it or fight it, same if you switch pokemon (my theory is that it doesn't know any moves nor struggle)

The buried alive model is bullshit
and the white hand didn't appear for me again even though I spent like one hour walking in town frameskipping
the ghost animation is bullshit too
the tones well they could be true, maybe we can sacrifice one of our 11 year old sonic recolorers
I'm sure we won't miss him

EDIT: I'm gonna try and see if it works with the missingno trick

EDIT2: I'll do it tomorrow after my exams

This better not be bullshit. Shit's fucking weird as hell.

I just noticed; the "white hand" is actually GHOST's left (our right) hand.

And I don't feel like reading that aritcle again, but ghost has a really long animation in which a couple of frames of it are static. Maybe that part was true?

Buried alive is definitely bullshit though.

According to rhymey, he felt like he was gonna puke when he listened to the original lavender town theme.
I listened to the whole thing twice and felt nothing, so maybe the "undeveloped ears" theory has some truth to it.

edit again- also suigin send us the rom and your savestate

so the man apearing in one of the images apears to be a color reduced version of this

shiro ishii, comander of the japanese "Unit 731", an imperial covert facility specialized in the development of bio and chemical warfare. and probably one of the most horrible places in earth.

RE: lavander town syndrome/lavander tone - Cobalt Blue - 08-02-2010

RE: lavander town syndrome/lavander tone - Helmo - 08-02-2010

when do ears become developed I want to hear this lavender town song

RE: lavander town syndrome/lavander tone - Vipershark - 08-02-2010

okay what the shit

according to the article posted in the OP, after 731 freezes the game and you restart, the title screen is filled with static/garbage and the lavender town theme plays at 10x

can you confirm this?

ok this is a bit confusing. while the first image i posted is from shiro ishida, taken from theman itself this one is from a replica of the experiments performed in a exhibition about unit 731 in 1993-1994.

listen to it with headphones on and see if anything happens

RE: lavander town syndrome/lavander tone - Maxpphire - 08-02-2010

To be honest I started playing Pokemon Red version when I was 8 years old. I fucking hated Lavender town since that age because the music always gave me a headache.

I would have hate to seen what the original version would have done to me back then. (It still gives me a headache. Hence why when playing my old red version I just keep the volume off when I have to enter that town.)

You can find the original music here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZOd_gFld9c
Oh vs beat me to the link, oh well.

RE: lavander town syndrome/lavander tone - Vipershark - 08-02-2010

The author of this video says he fought a BuryMan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZhLNU522co&feature=related
Though the doesn't describe the battle or how to access it.

RE: lavander town syndrome/lavander tone - Maxpphire - 08-02-2010

but a rumored BuryMan enemy in place of Marowak

Apparently it takes the place of Marowak when you face it in the ghost tower
