I double checked, yeah no errors or glitches or something i could find... Tongue
Hold on! ..... nope didn't find anything Tongue

Sorry for the triple.

You need 20 posts to make requests. He said it himself, he only joined to request something. Sad.

basically i gave the fur a direction, made it hang a bit
changed the face and moved it forward
changed the tail and stuff to make it look more like a scorpion tail, plus its shell on the chimera's back
moved the legs, rotated the plated one to make it look right
you could do with looking up some lion and scorpion refs, they're really helpful!
i think you can play a lot more with the cyborg aspect, and make the implants blend a bit better with the creature.

keep going!

adding to the more mechanical design, don't forget to add the bass elements because that's what you were going for initially, right?

I changed the sting to a headstock and placed the volume knob, tone knob and output jack on its shoulderplate. It's fun and important to place elements from one thing to another in a good-looking way, so people can understand both elements, complementing each other.

Not sure if I should keep going with this one or move on, but it's much improved from the original already, thanks guys Smile

Moving on...

Coffatos, whose design took forever to think up

EDIT:

Valckin WIP

Unrelated, some South Park sprites:

RE: Pokeymans (and other stuff) - Vipershark - 08-07-2011

the anatomy on those south park sprites is way off, especially on cartman's arm
his ...bicep...? is incredibly small while is forearm is really long

Valckin's fur will be the death of me. Any suggestions/edits?

RE: Pokeymans (and other stuff) - megaMasquerain - 08-12-2011

when in doubt, throw another sprite on the barbie pile.

What is Valckin's tail, exactly?

RE: Pokeymans (and other stuff) - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 08-12-2011

yeah the tail looks more like vapour

RE: Pokeymans (and other stuff) - megaMasquerain - 08-12-2011

You're right for the most part, it's smoke.

Right now it kind of looks like oil. :/

RE: Pokeymans (and other stuff) - Leaderproxima - 08-15-2011

I quite like these sprites, but i think they lack the... Pizazz to be real pokemon sprites.

RE: Pokeymans (and other stuff) - Toastfighter - 08-15-2011

If you dont care if they look like actual POKEMON or not, skip this paragraph and go onto the next one. I think what everyone is seeing is that these are done a bit too large, they are 111 by 111 where pokemon are 96 by 96, also, they are much more detailed than actual pokemon, look at slacking for how they do fur, they put somewhat defined furry edges, use a bit of dithering, then leave the rest smooth as a ken doll left and up to imagination. They also use different colors, like, when they use red, they actually use a pale, contrasting orange, brown, or pink, and for the metal parts, make them

Regardless of poke-likeness, if you give these guys more contrast I think it would make them look a lot better. The coloring you've done for them now looks more like they were made for a Final Fantasy instead of a pokemon-like game. They are designed, however, to be (like pokemon) anime/cartoonish-animals.
Thats all I can think of now (besides adding a -stache to that scorpion/dog/guitar, I'm thinking either freddie mercury or hulk hogan), if you want to keep the style you have right now, I'd suggest looking at final fantasy sprites for more help style-wise (I'm only help with basic design choices) if you want to continue the way you're doing it now

So in summary, use more contrast, use a bit less detail, make them smaller. Also, try to make less human ones, and try to make more animals.
Im probably not much help though, sorry.

RE: Pokeymans (and other stuff) - megaMasquerain - 08-16-2011

they're not Pokemon.

I should probably change the thread title...

WIP plant monster.

Also, what can I do to make Valckin's tail look more like smoke and less like oil?

RE: Probably not Pokemon - Glitch - 08-16-2011

The color on his tail could be more smokey, duller and closer to the greys.
It's shape could also be changed to look a bit more like smoke rising.
