RE: Jawnsunn's WIP-fest - Chris2Balls [:B] - 03-28-2012 I don't read the scarf as blowing in the wind, just as a wobbling line. Why's this? I think I might know why: the movement in the scarf is broken, which gives me the impression it's choppy. It's not just a question of making an oscillation that you flip vertically in the next frame: you have to remember that the wind makes a thin fabric swell, and this swell travels through its entirety. I'm also skeptical as to whether the wind can lift such a narrow and rope-like scarf. I think you could also reveal the other end of the scarf, too. Looking forward to progress! RE: Jawnsunn's WIP-fest - Gors - 03-28-2012 here's a (basic) example of how fabrics are blown in the wind: notice that it doesn't just wave around: it 'whips' itself every given time. try representing it in your animation. RE: Jawnsunn's WIP-fest - Garamonde - 03-28-2012 I see! That's really interesting. I'll try to keep this stuff in mind. Now I feel even more inspired to start something! Thanks for showing me that stuff guys. C: RE: Jawnsunn's WIP-fest - Jawnsunn - 04-07-2012 Yo. (WIP) SLIDE! SLIDE! I've been trying to redo the afro since I feel like it doesn't work with me anymore. Would like some feed back on the new hair. Hitsparks, because you can never kick ass without them. Regarding the scarf: It wasn't suppose to be very thin as the line I was using was meant to be made a guideline for a much more wider scarf. RE: Jawnsunn's WIP-fest - Crappy Blue Luigi - 04-07-2012 the new afro is super slick. i love everything you do. RE: Jawnsunn's WIP-fest - LegostormJ - 04-11-2012 The legitness of this is over 9000. I love all of it. Keep working on it. To infinity. This is a win. RE: Jawnsunn's WIP-fest - Star - 04-11-2012 The new afro definitely brings out the style of your character and as well as his exaggerated..ness. I seriously can't wait to see all of this fully animated HNGGGHHH I am proud of you.. son. plot twist RE: Jawnsunn's WIP-fest - Jawnsunn - 05-05-2012 I haven't had time to pixel or anything because of school, tests, and other shit, but I whipped up something today. THE 4th ATTEMPT AT AN IDLE ANIMATION! Someone on Pixel Joint critique on the last idle that most fighters had their hands up and mine had a bad pose. I finally addressed the issue and I'm happy about it. He looks like top tier beat-em-up material. oh and a rough mockup of the first stage of my game. i need to improve my background work big time, because I'm bad at it. RE: Jawnsunn's WIP-fest - Mashuga - 05-07-2012 Your character blends too heavily into the background in the screenshot. RE: Jawnsunn's WIP-fest - Star - 05-07-2012 Perhaps you could have colorful-graffiti like stuff for the background? That way the character doesn't blend in so much with it. I couldn't imagine the background being any darker. RE: Jawnsunn's WIP-fest - Jawnsunn - 05-31-2012 Kind of had an idea of an action rpg platformer game. Not sure if it is asskicking material or not. RE: Jawnsunn's WIP-fest - Gors - 06-01-2012 idk what's going on with his face, also the shading makes it look like it's a two-tone vest prove me this is asskicking material. |
