RE: M&L: Partners in Time Ripping Project. - A.J. Nitro - 01-29-2012 Sorry, that was kinda my bad. I just need to update the first post, that's all. I just need to update the first post, that's all.Oh, okay, it's alright. So are there any battle stuff besides backgrounds that need to be ripped? (and are not in the process or being ripped at that) RE: M&L: Partners in Time Ripping Project. - A.J. Nitro - 01-29-2012 Here's what I added to the first post: - Mario Battle - Luigi Battle - Baby Mario Battle - Baby Luigi Battle - Mario & Baby Mario Battle - Luigi & Baby Luigi Battle - Green Shells & Red Shells - Flower Items - Smash Egg - Cannonballer - Trampoline RE: M&L: Partners in Time Ripping Project. - FormerUser20 - 01-29-2012 Alright, small intervention, but I noticed in comparing my sprite's to yours, the colors are juuuuuuust barely different. (I tested this by going in paint and paintbucketing). Should we worry about this? Also, thanks for adding to the list. You planning on doing any of those? RE: M&L: Partners in Time Ripping Project. - A.J. Nitro - 01-29-2012 Ya, I checked the colors earlier and they are different. I can recolor them real quick. Also, no I have no plans on ripping anything else. I'll let you know if I do. EDIT: On second thought, never mind the recoloring. I just ran into a few minor issues, but it's no big deal. No one will ever know. RE: M&L: Partners in Time Ripping Project. - FormerUser20 - 01-29-2012 Awesome! I'll try to start on Mario's battle today if I have time. Also, you're probably right, they won't even tell the difference. RE: M&L: Partners in Time Ripping Project. - A.J. Nitro - 01-29-2012 How are you ripping exactly? Are you taking screenshots or something else? Just curious. RE: M&L: Partners in Time Ripping Project. - A.J. Nitro - 01-30-2012 There, now here's my final sheet I'll be posting for the project for a while. Thanks to ant for all the help too! The sheet is only missing the effects plus, it's other glowing palettes. And technically Shrowser is the possessed Bowser so that can be a separate sheet. If you can manage to get around the effects and glowing palettes, he's all yours. Nitro Wrote: How are you ripping exactly? Are you taking screenshots or something else? Just curious.Yes, I am indeed screenshotting. Unless I decide to do something else, of course. Edit: Also, that schroob thingy you ripped looks awesome! Kinda creepy looking, but still an awesome job. edti2: kay, I also wonder whether or not to rip the shadows of Mario's sprites. I normally don't do that but some people did for BIS RE: M&L: Partners in Time Ripping Project. - Garamonde - 01-30-2012 There actually isn't any other way to rip from this game in all honesty currently. I have checked the game's files in consoleTool, Tahaxan, even Tinke and Tile Molester, and everything is compressed in .DAT files making tile ripping or sprite extraction impossible, so, yeah screenshotting is his and our only method. BTW, for those who wonder, I'm trying to speed through the game again, and am currently fighting Swiggler at the time of posting, so I guess I have a long ways to go, especially since I haven't even met Kylie in the game yet. >_> RE: M&L: Partners in Time Ripping Project. - A.J. Nitro - 01-30-2012 @Wiiboy4ever: You don't have to rip the shadows. It's really up to you. We normally leave in the shadows for enemies, though. Unless the character jumps, then we separate the shadow. Good luck! @Mighty Jetters: Ya, the game starts off a little slow. If you want something else to do, you could always just try and grab what's missing along the way, just so you're not playing through the whole game for one thing. Just a suggestion. Also, Kylie should have no more new poses once the Elder Shrooboid turns her into a mushroom. If there's anything missing, it'll be right before the credits, which I can easily grab for you. RE: M&L: Partners in Time Ripping Project. - Garamonde - 01-30-2012 Well... I honestly don't know what's missing exactly (I know Toadsworth is missing stuff, but I'm not really bothered about that at the moment...), and that would mean keeping savestates of several different points of the game and it gets really confusing for me and stuff... I have trouble keeping track of multiple things at once if you wanna know the truth. Also, I'd rather try to get all her sprites myself if possible. If I fail somehow, then you can give it a go. Oh and I figured out a solution to the cheat code issue. Since all the battle tutorial stuff has Mario attack first, I applied the codes only to Luigi and Baby Luigi, and I let them take out enemies in one hit. RE: M&L: Partners in Time Ripping Project. - A.J. Nitro - 01-30-2012 That's okay with me. RE: M&L: Partners in Time Ripping Project - Jdaster64 - 01-31-2012 If anyone else has any issues with POW/Level codes, you might try this alternate way of doing it; just open the Memory Viewer and edit the values at these addresses (all 2 bytes unless stated otherwise): 233C420: Mario's Max HP, Current HP, POW, DEF, SPD, STA, Level (1 byte), EXP (3 bytes) 233C444: Luigi, same stats 233C468: Baby Mario 233C48C: Baby Luigi For example, to input a value of 999 for Mario's POW and 100 for his level, change the two bytes at 233C424 to "E7 03" (3E7 = 999hex), and the one at 233C42C to "64" (64 = 100hex). This way you can change the values back whenever you need to for a tutorial or such. |
