RE: Work/Criticism - Novally - 02-15-2013 The shield doesn't feel like it's being held by a human hand/arm. Too close in links body. Lacks a bit of depth. RE: Work/Criticism - Virtuaboy123 - 02-15-2013 Tried moving the shield a bit. Finished Jason, working on some more. Maybe marths arm is a little too long??? I'm not really sure why but I'm having a slight difficulty choosing colors. Are there any pre-existing palette sheets? RE: Work/Criticism - Novally - 02-16-2013 The shield could be moved down and to the lower right (from our view, not the sprite's). All these colors seem fine To be honest. The inside of Marth's cape doesn't look shaded properly. It makes the cape look thick. RE: Work/Criticism - Virtuaboy123 - 04-12-2013 I'm back but only for a lil, got bored so I tried reworking some of my older sprite work RE: Work/Criticism - Gors - 04-12-2013 really nice stuff, as always! though the egg dude's shoulder doesn't look connected to the body. The older sprite looks fine. Also what about skin tone variation? RE: Work/Criticism - Virtuaboy123 - 04-12-2013 I'm really bad at picking colors I'll try and expand my skin tones. (might use some game sprite's palettes) RE: Work/Criticism - Virtuaboy123 - 04-15-2013 Progress C+C would be helpful. RE: Work/Criticism - Zadaben - 04-15-2013 I think that the legs of most of these people are too short, the Chris2balls-looking guy for sure, and also maybe the pink-haired lady as well. I don't really understand the egg dude, his layout is a bit confusing, I don't know where his arms start, or what is going on with his head. The pink-haired lady'd feet are twisted in a really uncomfortable-looking way, and the ninja lady does not appear to have a steady footing either. RE: Work/Criticism - Virtuaboy123 - 04-15-2013 Ha it does remind me of Chris2balls(I drew it before I saw his ref however). But the legs being short is kind of the way I want him to look. You know, huge upper body tiny little legs.(It has a very gorilla type build) For the Egg guy I'm not sure what you mean. It's essentially a chode in an egg costume with the arms projecting out on the sides and legs from the bottom. For the face I'm not really sure whats wrong with it. Looking at it again the girl's feet might be a little two far in but I have seen models put their feet slightly inward. The feet might be too small also. I will make them longer along with the legs. RE: Work/Criticism - Gors - 04-15-2013 Rule of thumb, the foot's size equals the forearm's length. Egg dude is ok, same as green muscular dude. They are stylized and look fine for what they are supposed to be. RE: Work/Criticism - Virtuaboy123 - 04-18-2013 tried working on shading/feet/length of legs first attempt on left, 2nd on right RE: Work/Criticism - Gors - 04-19-2013 for skin, I tend to use shades without a lot of contrast. after all, it's opaque and not reflective at all-so I approve this change. Though the mouth could use a more definite line RE: Work/Criticism - Chris2Balls [:B] - 04-20-2013 Hey Virtuaboy, great stuff as usual! I did mostly anatomy edits, I hope they help: RE: Work/Criticism - Virtuaboy123 - 06-06-2013 I want to say this is my final version. I haven't sprited much other than for the rpg, so I wanted to see if I could still do other styles RE: Work/Criticism - hangun - 06-15-2013 not bad at all...and lol the pink haired chick..seems to have a belly..^^ |
