So here's what you do: If you want all the faces inverted, press W and in the popup select "flip normal". If there are only some you need to flip, select the ones you want and press ctrl+n. Hope this helps. RE: Do you think low-poly game models will ever make a comeback? - Vipershark - 04-11-2014 http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=798812 I'd like to redirect everyone to this thread for a second. Holy crap. RE: Do you think low-poly game models will ever make a comeback? - Level 1 - 04-11-2014 I actually haven't seen many indie games that showcase low poly graphics, at least in not so subtle way. I know that many of the DS games have it, which is expected for the system's limitations, but with today's limitations, I really haven't see anything that uses this style to it's full potential. RE: Do you think low-poly game models will ever make a comeback? - Vipershark - 04-11-2014 Nor will they on the Wii U. Regardless, the screen resolution is still too small on the 3DS to achieve these effects (as impressively) RE: Do you think low-poly game models will ever make a comeback? - Paladin - 04-11-2014 I'm sorry, but am I the only one who doesn't like those? I've seen a thread about "DS HD" before, and I don't think it looks very good. The texture resolutions don't match and the HUD is so low-res and stands out. Also, there's no anti-aliasing. RE: Do you think low-poly game models will ever make a comeback? - Gwen - 04-11-2014 Nah I agree with you Paladin. RE: Do you think low-poly game models will ever make a comeback? - Chris2Balls [:B] - 04-11-2014 I don't think lowpoly models have ever left. I find they have a certain charm, may it be with pixel art resolution textures or not. I think you can compare the placing of tris to the placing of pixels. Those look beautiful. Imagine if the Wii U VC games look like that! RE: Do you think low-poly game models will ever make a comeback? - SchAlternate - 04-11-2014 Totally looks like something from an N64/PSX game (bar the low res HUD) RE: Do you think low-poly game models will ever make a comeback? - orochii - 04-12-2014 Well, I think any DS sprite will look pretty pixellated. Textures are too, but they don't look that bad. I think nowadays polys aren't THAT necessary. They are, for animating. But for details you can use bump maps and the such. And there are some other techniques, I think, for rounding surfaces. But I don't know! RE: Do you think low-poly game models will ever make a comeback? - FinalSmash - 04-12-2014 I've always loved the N64 polygons, not too complicated, and yet just good enough to get the job done.
