Ahah.
Well, the ML styles are always fun.

This game looks awesome, and the idea as playing as Bowser brings back memories of SMRPG. And this style uses less colors on the sprite, I think I see 4 colors per shade, and way more on the backgrounds. Also Im liking this style much better than the previous, when this game comes out, or even right now, I will definitely try M&L3 style! Who will be the first to master, and establish tutorial?

RE: M&L3 - Confessor - 10-03-2008

PiT was often criticised for long boss battles in reviews and such, so it was definately a problem.

I battled a few things on the map and boss battles still took like 45 minutes.

RE: M&L3 - Koopaul - 10-03-2008

I'm curious. I realize that Fawful is popular due to his dialogue, but I wonder if that is the same case in Japan. Does he have equally hilarious dialogue in the Japanese version or what?

RE: M&L3 - DioShiba - 10-04-2008

I'm most likely going to give M&L3 a shot.

Though, I'm wondering if Nintendo ended up buying the rights to some of sqaure's SMRPG characters, considdering we all saw the fat Counsoler guy in this game. I have high doubts though.

That's a good question.

you mean the Chancellor? Wow, you're an expert on MaRPGio.

You do realize he was a green toad with a mustache? I mean, that's not hard to think up...

RE: M&L3 - Ninspriterx - 10-04-2008

How much do you think Geno (and Mallow?) would cost for Nintendo to buy rights to them from Square?

RE: M&L3 - Colton - 10-04-2008

lol buying video game characters that arent even used. As far as I know anyway. Id like Geno to make a return, but Mallow can go screw himself.

Anyway, this game, though only a couple snapshots provided, looks awesome. If this turns out to be epic, and I end up not being able to buy it, I'll commit suicide.

RE: M&L3 - Rakia - 10-04-2008

Well, they used Geno in MLSS.

You haven't played Super Mario RPG, have you?

RE: M&L3 - Geo the Fox - 10-06-2008

I'd like both of them to go die in a ditch somewhere. Neither of them were so cool to deserve all this hype. Mallow is a childish one-shot character with an unnecessarily developed back story that never really comes up again after the Cloud place.

And Geno has NO REAL REASON to EVER come back. EVER. In LIFE. He was just there because that ONE TIME PLOT called for it. Just as the Star Spirits and the Star Rod probably aren't making a return from Paper Mario, just as the Koopa Kids basically got replaced by Bowser Jr., Geno and his existence is pretty much over outside of references. Stop FAWNING over him. GEEZ.

And don't get me wrong. I thought they were pretty cool characters in the game. Geno was my second favorite. But that's about it.

I had a hard time with that one boss where you had to avoid the Shroob Bob-omb and beat the crap out of the guy who helmed the team.

And, with regards to Mallow and Geno, I wasn't fond of Mallow since he didn't have much in terms of attack, but the reason why people liked Geno was that this thing was a doll that could kick ass.

And Geno Whirl.

RE: M&L3 - Geo the Fox - 10-06-2008

'Cept he wasn't a doll. He was a... THING in a doll.

RE: M&L3 - Alpha Six - 10-06-2008

but it could kick ass

geno beam was probably the most spectacular attack i had ever seen in an SNES when i was 10
