RE: Deathbringer's Rips Progress Thread - Gors - 03-04-2010 Considering that 'Escargot' appeared twice in the first sheet, I think it's proposital. RE: Deathbringer's Rips Progress Thread - Deathbringer - 03-04-2010 It's organized by area and some areas have the same enemies. RE: Deathbringer's Rips Progress Thread - Deathbringer - 03-04-2010 And if you're wondering Davias, the Dark Cave enemies are going to be on the last sheet since the area is referred to as the Frontier Cave (assuming the Kanji is for Frontier, but you get the point) in the Japanese version. RE: Deathbringer's Rips Progress Thread - Davy Jones - 03-05-2010 Many enemies from your sheets are not appearing in SSSC, but in EBC. And other ones are not in both games, I really can't differentiate which bunch of enemies is actually from area xy and which is not. I think the fourth enemy's name shouldn't have that last character. I don't know how you ripped its name, but that last letter 'to' is in hiragana and clashes with the rest of its name (written in katakana). Also, 'to', when connecting two words, means 'with', so I think you accidentally ripped it alongside the name. It's written 'Scorpionto', by the way. RE: Deathbringer's Rips Progress Thread - Deathbringer - 03-05-2010 I know, I fixed it in the PSD but I'm too lazy to upload the fixed PNG. And I ripped the names from screenshots I took when I do Nall's action first, so the TO there is for 'and' and it with another enemy. RE: Deathbringer's Rips Progress Thread - Davy Jones - 03-05-2010 But why didn't you play the English version? RE: Deathbringer's Rips Progress Thread - Deathbringer - 03-05-2010 I was curious about the names in the Japanese version, and most websites I could find were geared towards the remakes (mainly Complete). Most of the bosses so far had been pretty easy to do as their tilesets were mostly completed sprites, but Black Dragon is friggin' nightmare. Most of the bosses so far: RE: Deathbringer's Rips Progress Thread - Deathbringer - 03-05-2010 And I hope to God that the rest of the bosses are as easy as the others. RE: Deathbringer's Rips Progress Thread - Deathbringer - 03-07-2010 It's in a spoiler box because the Magic Emperor took a lot of space. The names with ? are names that came from Silver Star Story and/or Legend but do make some sense (as some bosses don't have their names shown so they probably came from a strategy guide) and I can attest that some of the names here (http://shrines.rpgclassics.com/sega_cd/ltss/bosses.shtml) are the same in Japan (for example, Bronze Dog is one of the bosses Nall calls out, the Lizard is fought in the Lizard Cave). I have theories on the others... Wolf Captain: Since Wolf Guard is called Dogman and the Lizard Commander is called Lizard Head, this might be Dog Head. Dragon Angel: Probably is but with Kanji. Fire Elemental: Probably is this or Flame Elemental. It's called Fire Elemental in Eternal Blue, so that works for me. Davias: The English version may need to be ripped also as there are some differences between the sprites, like Xenobia boss version having breasts in Japan but not the US. RE: Deathbringer's Rips Progress Thread - Deathbringer - 03-14-2010 Current nightmare, Gradius III. Enemies are no problem (all the enemies above the sand dragon are loaded for every level, so that more or less leaves level specific enemies) but the bosses are going to suck. And this is just the first 3 4 stages, in fact I might need to have two sheets just in case. RE: Deathbringer's Rips Progress Thread - Deathbringer - 03-22-2010 RE: Deathbringer's Rips Progress Thread - Davy Jones - 03-22-2010 wow, this critter looks awesome And your Lunar rips... I imagine how it would be to rip all the SSSC-enemies in their arranged form. Due to the annoying backgrounds, it would be a nightmare xD RE: Deathbringer's Rips Progress Thread - Deathbringer - 03-22-2010 I tile-ripped the Lunar stuff, a savestate can hold a lot of shit in it. RE: Deathbringer's Rips Progress Thread - Cobalt Blue - 03-22-2010 that contra 4 boss is lacking its lower jaw i believe. |
