I'm thinking we should include all veteran characters (maybe excluding Young Link and Doc) and tweak movesets as we see fit. The only real votes would be for additional characters. We could just cut all 3rd party characters and use Nintendo only, but I don't know if anyone would like that. So what do you say?

Hm? Little Mac seems logical. In fact, a lot of ATs would have been good characters.

Wouldn't that just make it a remake of Brawl? Ton, you have to be more dynamic, otherwise, we would cut the additional characters and call it Super Smash Bros. Clone

I agree aside from olimar. he's a totally original character and pikmin was a very popular game. also he's not completely useless like rob.

I think ROB would be the only justified cut, supported by a reason I'm sure we've all heard before by now....ROB's not a video game character, but merely an accessory. Everyone else we could pretty much shift around to be less of 'Carbon Copies'.
Some examples I had in mind:
- For starters, Toon Link's Final Smash could be the Four Swords. Not exactly sure how that would work yet, but yea...
- A friend of mine from another forum suggested that Young Link's would be entirely redone to fit in the Masks from Majora's Mask, the Final Smash (for example) being an attack that combines all his attacks from each of his masks, or simply being what I believe is the strongest mask, Fierce Deity (I don't know too much about the N64 Zeldas). I also thought that his should have that roll he does in the games as an attack; a running attack perhaps. Maybe fit in the ocarina somewhere, iono.

I cut those characters because they were either clones or they wouldn't be missed. Toon link was cut because that is just a shorter version of link. If we wanted characters like that, how about dark Dedede, and Dr. Luigi.
Doesn't sound to good now does it.

Why cut ROB? He's a good character. Same with Olimar and Ganondorf. Those three have to stay. And I don't want to add any characters for certain unless we have a good moveset worked out for them. Look at Gooey, for example. He started as a Kirby clone, but was given a unique moveset based on the Kirby world. He had a lot to go off of. Characters like Lolo or Pac Man or Bomberman seem like good ideas, but do they have the abilities necessary to net them a whole moveset?

Actually I don't see Gooey as a Kirby clone but honestly, I want to know if Geno would be able to be in this game!

I agree with tonberry, people like those should just be ATs. But I still think all Brawl and Melee characters should be in the game.
I have a perfect move set figured out for Crash and Spyro.
Crash:
B: Wumpa Bazooka
Side B: Aku Board
Down B: Body Slam
Up B: Spin
F Smash: Spike
Spyro:
B: Breath Power
Side B: (Super)Charge
Down B: Change Breath power
Up B: Special attack(Changes with Breath Power)
F Smash: Dark Spyro
Breath powers Fire, Lightning, Water, Ice, Bubble, Earth flail.

Characters like Geno have the boon of being in an RPG with a whole list of attacks and items at their disposal. Any of the Paper Mario partners and SMRPG characters could be playable with a little thought put into them. Likewise, the Mii has been in a boatload of sports and activity-related games. Any of those could be channeled into a moveset.
I'm still pretty against Spyro and Crash, honestly. But it's not up to only me. Others have a say too.

I don't see why you guys are complaining about movesets. Olimar had hardly anything to work with movewise, but he got in fine.
