That way players can fall from the buildings. I think we're focusing too much on stages with floors at the moment and ignoring "in the sky" stages. Why not make it a changing stage? At some points, the flood-level could be lower as described in the picture, and at others it could force everyone to the tops of buildings, only to lower the flood-level quickly so that they are stranded on the rooftops for a while until the stage shifts back downwards again. Stack & Gyro It's the most constant thing about this stage is that it's a Giant R.O.B., bigger than the one that appears in SSE. Anyway, the fight takes place on it's arms/hands and every... say, 45 seconds it switches between play Gyro & Stack. When it's playing Gyro, there's a big gyro in the center of the 'stage' and the R.O.B. steadily starts spinning it faster and faster. When it gets faster, touch the thing on top on the gyro will do damage and throw you back some. When it's playing Stack, the level of the stage lowers a little bit as the ROB starts stacking blocks up and bringing the stage level up higher. It's weird, but I thought it was interesting enough to share the idea. RE: New stages - Black Boo - 08-25-2009 Hyrule Castle. Seriously. That was a good old stage. Unless of course we're diong the N64 one already, though I'd like to see a battle on the rooftops of the Twilight Princess castle. Let's see... Phaze. That would make a fun metriod stage. Apariod Homeworld. There we could have aparoids come in and attack now and then. (this is Starfox) The ARK. Here we could have meteors and artaficial chaos come in to do some damage, as well as some platoforms exploding or crumbling and falling. (Like Cosmic Fall in Shadow the Hedgehog) RE: New stages - Ekoi - 08-25-2009 Not too sure about the ARK stage, as Starfox already covers the space levels really. ARK seems to be more of Shadow's thing, and we don't seem to be using him as a playable fighter. While I agree that the ARK shouldn't be a stage because of Star Fox, I don't think that a stages should have to be levels from a playable fighters game. Heck in SSBB you had the Electroplankton stage and the Animal Crossing stage and that game didn't have one character from either game playable. It's got Wario's name in it, it was the only game Toad starred in, and it's fun. But more seriously, a stage based off one of the areas in Balloon Fight would be cool. Floating platforms, man-eating flish, and pink flipper things galore! Plus lightning balls from the clouds. |
