RE: Girl Gamers - nicktheslayer - 11-17-2009 My girlfriend is a gamer, and shes into all the Nintendo stuff. Shes obsessed with only Twilight Princess, although im obsessed with Zelda as a whole. Im working on that. She likes Mario a lot too. She hasnt played much anything besides Nintendo, so yea. Awesome. RE: Girl Gamers - Joseph Styling - 11-17-2009 GOLD EXPERIENCE RE: Girl Gamers - Ultimecia - 11-17-2009 KoF was good until '98, I'm not much into the later installments. I'm more into Street Fight and Soul Calibur series. Here we got a kind of different reality, we can't find Wii at Wallmart for $200, so it's harder for girls to be into games (you can import Wii for around $1200, and the original games are $200. If you mod it, the pirate games are from $8 to $20. You can cry if you want to check out the price of a 360 or the PS3 ). So the easier way to introduce a girl into gaming here is using a computer or the arcade. It's not unusual to see girls playing DDR or Pump, specially after the TV made a big deal on "how-it-is-so-awesome!Unlike-the-other-game-crap" RE: Girl Gamers - Rai - 11-17-2009 To be fair, DDR is just plain hardcore fuckawesome. DDR and dieting are how I stay in shape, yo. RE: Girl Gamers - Dave - 11-17-2009 ...there are no words in the dictionary to explaing how...bad that game was... Girls deserved better then that... You'd be spot-on with Guitar Hero/RB and DDR, but I think those fall into the party game category all the same, so it's a little redundant. Now that I think about it, my sister is quite into gaming. So I guess it's a family thing, haha. RE: Girl Gamers - Ultimecia - 11-18-2009 It might be, my dad was the one who introduced me into gaming. Learned by proxy, I guess it's fairly common. Most gamers starts like that. ...He stole my Half-Life and my Return to Castle Wolfenstein. *snif* But so far we are the only ones, but my cousin's kids are starting becoming gamers themselves, both boys and girls. RE: Girl Gamers - Rai - 11-18-2009 I dunno, I'm the only one in my entire family who plays games regularly. Hell, the only reason I got a PSone for Christmas one year was because I hated sports, and my parents felt the need that I should at least have something in common with the other kids. And then things spun out of their control. RE: Girl Gamers - Cobalt Blue - 11-18-2009 I still remember when my parents gave me a nes. i probably busted two or three AC adaptors out purely playing Contra with my brother RE: Girl Gamers - Ultimecia - 11-19-2009 Why the industry hates us so much? |
