RE: Suggestions - Petie - 09-19-2016 I'm aware of this particular issue and while I'm definitely not going to be following in YouTube's footsteps (I hate layout elements like that), I have been planning to page the comments (probably limiting it to 10-20 per page, depending on how it affects load times). I've sat down to do this before but it's an annoying process and I've yet to complete it. I've seen the Undertale section specifically though so I do know it needs to be done. Perhaps this weekend. RE: Suggestions - psychospacecow - 09-19-2016 Its been about 2 years since VGFacts's video section was updated. The most I've got in regards to web design was just a class in high school, but if you guys want, I could try and work on that. RE: Suggestions - Filler - 10-27-2016 I was wondering if there's a possibility of soundfonts (SF2) being uploaded to the sounds resource. As they count as sounds, right? RE: Suggestions - Garamonde - 10-27-2016 Nope, as they are what make up music tracks in many games; if we started offering those, then people could very well re-create ingame music, which includes music sold in some OSTs. So, they are treated the same way as music and will not be accepted. RE: Suggestions - Jermungandr - 10-27-2016 Um ... I don't want to start an argument or anything, but I'm not sure I understand the logic behind that. Couldn't it also be argued that someone could use the sprites on the site to recreate a game? Or the models? RE: Suggestions - Shade - 10-27-2016 You can't make a game with a sprite. You CAN make a song with an instrument. RE: Suggestions - aceres - 10-30-2016 I wanted to revise a few models but I'm wondering if something went wrong. I basically updated rigged versions of a few models. Since then some newer models got accepted so I'm not sure if mine are still waiting to be checked or not. I got a green OK message after I clicked the Submit button however "Pending Submissions" is still zero, is that normal? Perhaps make updates appear in pending section as well? What does "Update: Check to include updated model in next update (only applies if updating model)" in revision form mean? I thought it meant "including the previous files as well" (which I don't want since they are in OBJ format and newer ones are DAE) but the sentence is a bit weird, feels like I might have misunderstood since I'm non-native english speaker. Did I have to check that box as well? Did I have to check that box as well? Every now and again the front page will have an "update", showing all the new submissions since the last update. When you revise a model, you can check this to specify that it should appear in the next update (even if it has already appeared in a previous one). You should only really do this if you're updating the model (as opposed to the icon or name), since that's the only change which is worth showing as a new submission. As for the other questions, I'll leave those for someone who deals with model submissions. RE: Suggestions - Petie - 10-30-2016 That checkbox actually only appears if you're revising the actual content but puggsoy had the rest correct. Generally, it should only be checked if you're making significant changes though. Minor edits don't justify re-appearing in the home page updates but major changes are worth highlighting. As for your disappearing revisions, they're not actually submissions so they don't appear on your pending submissions page. You'll know when a revision is addressed via PM but if you want to be sure it's still in the queue, just look at the page in question. If there's a revision pending, the "revise" button won't show up. Also, just so you're aware, revisions are in their own queue and new submissions being approved or rejected is a separate process. Is there some kind of priority between two processes or is it that different people handle each? RE: Suggestions - Petie - 10-30-2016 There's not really a set priority for either. Things are handled as people have time to do them. RE: Suggestions - Garamonde - 10-30-2016 The Models Resource is extremely overloaded with submissions, so please understand if it is a while before your submissions or revisions are tended to. TMR staff is really trying to work through it though, so your content will be gotten to, rest assured. RE: Suggestions - Kosheh - 10-31-2016 It's the yearly reminder =) today is the last day of this beautiful skin ): and it belongs in the Forum Styling thread yea but I figured I'd post it here for visibility (10-01-2016, 07:40 AM)Kosheh Wrote: y'know it completely slipped my mind but today i logged into VGR and here it is. a spooky scary theme-eton. sent shivers down my spine. like, if we could get a nice subtle backlight LED blue for the hyperlinks in that theme, it'd be an absolute peach to use RE: Suggestions - Petie - 10-31-2016 I don't use the darkest theme so I never think of it. Give me a color and a class and I'll update it though. RE: Suggestions - Smakkohooves - 12-05-2016 I dont' want annoy anyone, but because someone pop-ups with the ost request, i want say, ill'be ok if can be made a 8bit only (or also 16bit) music section? For what i cnow no one produces or sell a 8-16 bit soundtrack. so that means maybe can be free. the midi quality of the 8-16 bit music is to bad for mp3. |
