RE: Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood - Gaia - 10-18-2008

Grooveman forgets to lock his own topic? Ninja

Anyway, it's games like this that gets a lot of mixed reviews and all that, It's an okay game, so I guess. Ix is actually hard if you don't use Combo/Normal POW moves to take him out. Plus regeneration. Ninja

And about that, I played Half-Life while I was about 15-14 or so, and it was rated M.

Who said I intended to lock it? I just wanted to divert attention to the newest article (which is better written, IMO).

Bleh, sarcasim is hard to detect. I will get around that review sometime. >.>

RE: Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood - Gooniez - 10-18-2008

Woah, I just went to Sonic Wiki. They're already starting on the sequel. Pretty much all that's known is that Ix is mentioned in the sequel, but that's about it. Maybe he returns...? Nah.

RE: Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood - Kairos - 10-19-2008

...A sequel for a horrible game?

And still no ZX3?

RE: Time Hollow - Sho_"Rocker"_Daisuke - 10-19-2008

I've heard of this somewhere before, it didn't really catch my interest because the people at Nintendo Power kind of like every games thrown at them for the Wii and DS, I haven't seen many of their reviews that includes downfalls of the games.

but anyways, after reading this, it really got me interested in playing this game, maybe the next time I'm at Rogers I'll pick it up just to play it for a little while.

I haven't seen many people do well written reviews that they've taken time into doing it, and when they do, it's basically just them nagging on on how much they love the game or how great they think it is, or the complete opposite. Fortunately, you are not one of those people, you discuss both the pros and the cons of a game that you enjoy. Kudos.

Indeed. WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO STAND FOR IT!!! >Sad

Getting back on topic, I may give rental a chance since it is mixed.

wait you're upset about a sequel to a disappointing game

and then you turn around and ask for a sequel to an equally disappointing game?

RE: Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood - Desert Cat - 10-19-2008

I respect GrooveMan and all, but I don't think you guys should conclude that this game sucks just because he says so. Go out and play it yourself. Rent it our something. You might be surprised.

RE: Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood - GrooveMan.exe - 10-19-2008

I don't know what review you're reading, but I didn't say the game sucked. The only direct adjectives I've used to overall describe the game are 'sloppy' and 'disappointing'.

It's just an extremely average RPG with Sonic in it. If you like average RPGs that much, then by all means get it.

RE: Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood - Confessor - 10-20-2008

In my opinion, ultimately it is a disapointment as something from Bioware but a good RPG in general.

RE: Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood - Clutch - 10-20-2008

Anyone who's surprised this game may get a sequel obviously hasn't played it through to the end.

RE: Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood - Kairos - 10-20-2008

No, I played it. Finished it. And really. I rather leave it on a cliffhanger and let the fanboys make horrible sprite comics about it than them make a sequel.

RE: Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood - MaxxMan - 10-21-2008

Game is great, only a few complaints.
One, no wi-fi Chao trading. That ticked me off a little bit but I can deal with that.
Two, which is pretty unavoidable on the DS, the levels are to cramped together. You find yourself running around getting lost in the same places.

Help me decide on my next Gaming Article plz. - GrooveMan.exe - 11-16-2008

I've not written a new one in a while, and it'd be nice to have another blog entry. There are a few new releases; but I'm still not sure.

It can be pretty much any game as long as it's PC emulatable or otherwise can run on PC. I'm not prepared to buy a game I'll only play for the sake of the review (waiting 3 days for a torrent download isn't a great idea either). Freeware is coo'.

So any suggestions. Keep in mind I might hate it and write a scathing review. =D
