RE: Apocalypse's submissions - Apocalypse - 03-05-2009 Whoa-hoh-hoh, I haven't ripped anything in FOREVER. Until now. A recent interest in the Tower of Druaga series caused me to try to rip from it. However, the games quickly turned out to be brain-splittingly hard, so I just went back to Narikiri Dungeon and grabbed a dungeon full of cameos instead. In the process I discovered an additional pose for Wonder Momo Mel, so: Old sheet update RE: Apocalypse's submissions - Apocalypse - 03-10-2009 And on the other side of the enemy list... RE: Apocalypse's submissions - SmithyGCN - 03-10-2009 There is a Tower of Druaga sidequest in Tales of Destiny complete with enemies and Druaga himself if you're interested in getting them (I ripped them a long time ago, but lost them when my laptop crashed). RE: Apocalypse's submissions - Apocalypse - 03-17-2009 Really? Namco just love referencing these games, it seems. Unfortunately I don't know the first thing about PlayStation ripping... maybe it's about time I learn. In any case, I managed to rip from the first Tower of Druaga anyway! I, uh, forgot MAME had a tile viewer. Aside from some major Fun With Palette Changes, it was pretty easy after all. I don't know if tSR includes "The" in titles or not, so here's two icons. RE: Apocalypse's submissions - Dazz - 03-17-2009 We do include "the" - so thanks for that Great rip! This is awesome. RE: Apocalypse's submissions - Apocalypse - 03-18-2009 Cool, then I know what to do with the title of this sequel! Well, prequel. RE: Apocalypse's submissions - Dazz - 03-18-2009 Awesome! Always wanted someone to rip these since I ripped the NXC stuff. RE: Apocalypse's submissions - Apocalypse - 03-19-2009 Noticed a copy-paste mistake in the Tower of Druaga sheet; fixed submission here. I've pretty much filled my personal demand for Druaga... for now. So here's something different. With super special awesome beta and regional differences! Kudos to Ragey for teaching me about that. RE: Apocalypse's submissions - Dazz - 03-19-2009 Fixed and uploaded! RE: Apocalypse's submissions - Apocalypse - 03-19-2009 Thank ye kindly. And just because I'm on a roll... The various treasure items from Tower of Druaga, and battle effects from Narikiri Dungeon thrown together in a large mess! Threw a Japanese attack name on the icon because it looked so empty with just the lightning. It says "Indignation" for the curious, because that's the best attack ever. RE: Apocalypse's submissions - Dazz - 03-20-2009 Awesome! RE: Apocalypse's submissions - Apocalypse - 04-05-2009 Well, argh. I wanna rip from second Druaga game, "The Return of Ishtar", but there are problems. While MAME's Tile Viewer contains all the frames and palettes just ripe for picking (some assembly required), the palettes all leave the black colour as it is. As such, it blends in with the Tile Viewer's black background, rendering things like shadows, Ki's hair and Black Knight impossible to rip. Not to mention the game is 2-player only, so ripping the old-fashioned screenshot way would be a gigantic pain in the ass. Anyone got any ideas? In the meantime, I just grabbed everything that remained from Quest of Ki. Yes, the game has Pac-Man ghosts, Dig Dug enemies, etc. Namco luvvy-luvs them some cameos. Update: Characters (Shielded and Petrified palettes) Update: Cutscenes (Silver and Black Dragons) Backgrounds aside, I think that's it for this game. RE: Apocalypse's submissions - Deathbringer - 04-05-2009 Do what I do, find a palette that doesn't use black and use that to cut out the sprites with the correct palette. RE: Apocalypse's submissions - Dazz - 04-05-2009 Nice! RE: Apocalypse's submissions - Yawackhary - 04-05-2009 (04-05-2009, 03:36 PM)Apocalypse Wrote: Well, argh. I'm not sure but try TileGGD if that displays it. I'm having the same problem with Psycho Soldier except the format that's on TileGGD is unknown... |
