RE: Rabid's Ramshackle of Random Renderings [DIGITAL ART] - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 10-11-2010 I finished the "site mockup" and submitted it earlier. I expect low marks, although everyone else's looked rushed as well. Except for one, which was made with colored pencils and kicked my submission's ass. And, also, additionally: placeholder textures because goddamn how do pros do it EDT- fixed the jaw. will show on next update. RE: Rabid's Ramshackle of Random Renderings [DIGITAL ART] - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 10-13-2010 because i am smart and stuff, i'm starting another project before the others are through! maybe i can submit to tsr later retopo time. high poly and low poly side by side with low poly eyes RE: Rabid's Ramshackle of Random Renderings [DIGITAL ART] - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 10-13-2010 i guess i have to look for a 3d community. *scratches head* RE: Rabid's Ramshackle of Random Renderings [DIGITAL ART] - Sengir - 10-13-2010 If tMR grows there's a chance for a 3D sub-community. also I'm gonna get on blender right now, feeling inspired RE: Rabid's Ramshackle of Random Renderings [DIGITAL ART] - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 10-14-2010 a lot more added to this, but i'm lazy to reupload: inspired by "In A Grove" by that one japanese dude who committed suicide RE: Rabid's Ramshackle of Random Renderings [DIGITAL ART] - DadNier - 10-14-2010 I don't really like how saturated your shadows are, have you ever tried using less saturated shades for that?? RE: Rabid's Ramshackle of Random Renderings [DIGITAL ART] - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 10-21-2010 I've found a new way to vary the skintone, actually. I'll try it with my next one, if ever. http://www.swfcabin.com/open/1287682022 hi im bord RE: Rabid's Ramshackle of Random Renderings [DIGITAL ART] - Chutzpar - 10-21-2010 It turns out I've been giving bum advice FOREVER - I was about to tell Slouch off for telling you to desaturate your shadows, but he's right. This is in MSPaint-o-vision, but it's a nice rule of thumb for colouring: http://www.johnlovett.com/shadows.htm Your middle values / base colour should be the most saturated; lit areas will be slightly less saturated because light tends to wash colour out, and the shadows will be less saturated - but also tinted, with either the compliment for your lightsource or the compliment for your base colour. Again, with most things I've ranted about: rule of thumb =!= DO THIS ALL THE TIME FOREVER. It's cool to break rules, provided you know them first RE: Rabid's Ramshackle of Random Renderings [DIGITAL ART] - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 10-22-2010 man you give great art tips :u My "solution" just consisted of a new layer with red and purple set to "color". RE: Rabid's Ramshackle of Random Renderings [DIGITAL ART] - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 10-27-2010 looking promising, but idk RE: Rabid's Ramshackle of Random Renderings [DIGITAL ART] - Lexou Duck - 10-27-2010 I love your textures, man. RE: Rabid's Ramshackle of Random Renderings [DIGITAL ART] - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 10-31-2010 ugghhhhh i can't stay motivated long enough to finish anything. RE: Rabid's Ramshackle of Random Renderings [DIGITAL ART] - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 11-02-2010 me this is me 24/7 RE: Rabid's Ramshackle of Random Renderings [DIGITAL ART] - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 11-08-2010 ??? a little note, i like drawing noses a little "sunken" in on the face. idk why it's my new fetish :c RE: Rabid's Ramshackle of Random Renderings [DIGITAL ART] - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 11-11-2010 imgya and then there is also this, which was based on a sketch a friend did of me. it's the upper right panel and i thank him for making me look decent. |
