Yes, I did that too.
But I discovered that the character and the scarf part have small differences in pixels. You can see that when you try to lay the scarf over the character:

you're right! it's weird, but I have extracted directly from the game files without modifying them...

Pretty sure they cut the animation from the character to save space in the memory. I assume that they made some small modifications afterwards.

guys I have the sprites from a new game called "The Guided Fate Paradox" from NIS. are very similar to those from disgaea, they also have some character in common, but with a few differences. I can rip a lot from this game, the problem is that I do not know the names of the characters in english... maybe someone in the forum knows them? however, the game comes out this fall in North America... i have to wait for the game to be released in english and the post the various sheets?
now i post a sheet of a character who certainly i know the name and the icon of the game... tell me what you think!

I'd say to make the sheets, and then rename them later since we don't know when it'll be released in English.
...just as long as RTB isn't making plans of ripping from this too.
