Maybe, but this game seems pretty interesting and is certainly charming enough for it to be worthwhile. Really, I wouldn't compare it to any of the Minecraft imitators.

I really wouldn't compare this to minecraft. Sure it has some buildable features and crafting, so do a lot of other games. This reminds me far more of 3d Dot Heroes,(which I played once, so my observation here may be a tad off) with a bit more open world creativity added to it.

I think people only compare it to Minecraft purely because of the blocky graphics. Minecraft wasn't even the first to do it anyway, so if they're going to point fingers, it'd have to go back further than that. Besides, the gameplay is no where near identical. Cube World's combat is far more polished than Minecraft's.

Yeah the game is now available for purchase, and access to the alpha is now available upon purchase, however Wollay's site is getting anally ruptured and he has to fix it.

It's unfortunate but not surprising that Wollay's site keeps getting occasionally DDOS'd. Wollay also has to bring the shop down and close registrations every now and again to prevent the server from overloading. I hope this all blows over soon.

So I got my hands on it now, and started to play it a bit...this game is brutal as hell! I couldn't win a single battle as an archer. So I made a warrior character....doing a lot better with combat, but still dying XD.
