So here's Boreal Serpent for now: and the easier way is? =) good job by the way... RE: Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 (Professional) Ripping Project - RadSpyro - 06-11-2012 Just using Animation Shop 3 to it's full potential, something I wasn't doing at first Two more: Once again, sorry the main file is being uploaded on this server instead - I'm still having some trouble uploading files over 100kb anywhere except there, for some reason (I have a feeling it's an problem with my ISP). You mentioned some sort of background hack earlier. Care to elaborate on that? RE: Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 (Professional) Ripping Project - RadSpyro - 06-12-2012 Thanks. Basically, I've heard there's a way to hack a background color to something different using cheat devices pre-installed on emulators. I've only managed to perform that feat on Meka, a Master System emulator, though it's possible on any apparently. So yeah, I'm just trying to figure out where that background is hidden in the coding right now. I've only managed to perform that feat on Meka, a Master System emulator, though it's possible on any apparently. I tried that before, but failed because i suck at dealing with numbers. I managed to find the palette hex-values in Desmume's memory viewer, but i can't find them with a program like Artmoney, because the addresses are different. Another option might be Lua. I have a Genesis emulator with Lua-support and a script, that changes the background to pink. Unfortunately, i don't know how to code Lua for myself and there is no documentation about Desmume's Lua functions RE: Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 (Professional) Ripping Project - Xtreme1992 - 06-12-2012 (06-11-2012, 07:23 PM)RadSpyro Wrote: Just using Animation Shop 3 to it's full potential, something I wasn't doing at firstawesome job! and i only use animation shop to crop the gifs to the animated area... so i am curious what the full potentials of animation shop 3 is... =D here is a new monster... MormonKing next i am doing Psaro... =D RE: Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 (Professional) Ripping Project - Davy Jones - 06-12-2012 you mean "Pisaro"? RE: Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 (Professional) Ripping Project - Davy Jones - 06-12-2012 Boreal Serpent should be right, this "Serp" is just an abbreviation due to the text lenght for monster names: Quote:(Sadly, I had to shrink a lot of names, I will try to find a way to keep them long)I would go with Woodus, some of the names like RedDrg oder MetalKn are ridiculous. Not sure about Psaro (it sounds unusal in my ears), the PAL version of Dragon Quest Monsters calls him Pisaro. And earlier he was called Saro and Necrosaro. Basically, after cropping them, I select them all and use the replace color option to clear the background (or, I'll go along the frames with the paint fill). Then, after saving it as an animation, I go back into the file and select Save frames as and throw them all in a folder. Zip the folder up, make the icon and hey presto - There ya have it And here's Wartoise: RE: Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 (Professional) Ripping Project - Xtreme1992 - 06-15-2012 (06-15-2012, 02:26 PM)RadSpyro Wrote: Basically, after cropping them, I select them all and use the replace color option to clear the background (or, I'll go along the frames with the paint fill). Then, after saving it as an animation, I go back into the file and select Save frames as and throw them all in a folder. you can replace the color from all frames at once? didnt knew that... well i am trying that out by my next rip... and if you crop the animations could you choose the option that it should crop to the "animated area"? it reduces the file size to the minimum... ahh and Wartois is awesome! here is new monster... this one took so much time... i could rip at least 10 smaller monsters in the time i spend for this one but well the results are awesome so it was worth it! Psaro dont know which one next so suggestions are welcome... RE: Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 (Professional) Ripping Project - A.J. Nitro - 06-15-2012 So Wartoise is Wartortle + Blastoise?
