RE: Virtuaboy's Sprites... - Goemar - 08-14-2012 For the girl look at old World War pin-up art, will probably help with the pose etc. RE: Virtuaboy's Sprites... - Nindo - 08-16-2012 (08-13-2012, 11:59 PM)Virtuaboy123 Wrote: Here some more stuff I'm working on. (I'll eventually get done with gunbuster) Since everybody's got the other pieces covered, that Fire Emblem mug shot is looking pretty good so far. The facial features are absolutely in Fire Emblem style, though his right border of his face has a bit too dark of an outline, mesh it a bit more with the flesh tone. This also coincides with the fact that most FE mugshots have the character looking more to the side, giving the mugshot an almost profile-esque view (though I do admit not all of them do). Ultimately, the facing is up to you. The clothes are obviously WIP, but I'd like to see them finished, the scarf is looking good so far, but it's not quite there yet. Also, those mini-mugshots more remind me of older Advance Wars mugshots, hahah. RE: Virtuaboy's Sprites... - Virtuaboy123 - 08-16-2012 Thanks everyone for the help/advice I just moved into my dorm and i'm getting used to dorm life. I made three differing versions of the lady tell me which one to use or maybe even a combination of them same with roshi (I kept his glasses white in refrence his manga appearance) I worked more on Guts too and a custom Skullomania sprite. Edit Chris do you use some sort of rotating tool or some affect to make the sprites look like that? (also I didn't want to make mine look to much like yours so i left the right foot position in place) RE: Virtuaboy's Sprites... - Chris2Balls [:B] - 08-16-2012 Oh yes, these are looking quite spiffy! Watch out for over-AAing, though. I think the second pose for the girl is the sexiest: if you bring her shoulder closer to her head or vice versa, like maybe even cocking her head to the side, it could accentuate this impression furthermore. I can't really explain why, but that's the feeling I get. You still have a lot of possible combinations for the position and angle of the foot, try a few out! I use the "Move selected pixels" tool in Paint.NET, when clicking with the right mouse button. It allows you to rotate the selection. I didn't bother cleaning up the sprite, because I felt it was up to work on getting your version better. RE: Virtuaboy's Sprites... - RokuGurin - 08-17-2012 Keep up the good work, man. RE: Virtuaboy's Sprites... - Gors - 08-17-2012 the girl's left breast looks bigger than the other, and if you're going to stick with the pose 1, the arm going back her head should be moved up a little more. Skeletondude looks a little unbalanced; mirror the image to check its stability still, good job on those. RE: Virtuaboy's Sprites... - Virtuaboy123 - 08-21-2012 Got a little free time so I tried evening out the breast and I'm making a larger Skullomania sprite. RE: Virtuaboy's Sprites... - Chris2Balls [:B] - 08-22-2012 It just keeps looking better! I'd suggest you work a bit more of the shape of the girl's thigh so you can make it out from her shin/other leg bit. The same applies for Skullomania and his legs. RE: Virtuaboy's Sprites... - Goemar - 08-22-2012 I'd lift her left breast a bit. It looks more like it's sagging compared to the other one rather than different sizes. Though I may be talking utter bollocks - getting breasts looking equal in certain poses is tricky business. Good job following the C+C by the way. |
