Just go to download one and say your a student. Simple! If I recall, you still have to pay even if you are a student unless the class you're in gives it to you themselves. I haven't ever tried claiming to be a student, but I always though you had to show some kind of proof that you were a student as well. As for the legality of it, well technically all of the stuff on the resource sites is illegal anyway so :p But seriously, if its true that they don't try hard to verify if you're a student or not than I doubt they care too much about it. Simple! RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - Crett - 06-05-2011 I just got Maya for free as a student. They even allow homeschoolers. It's just that you can't do any commercial projects. Anyway, I took some of those models I ripped (Along with this one skybox I haven't released yet that I probably should soon) and posed 'em up. I thought it looked neat. RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - valforwing - 06-06-2011 heres some things i've did with mine RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - Crett - 06-06-2011 HOLY SHIZOFRITES That's freaking awesome looking. RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - Crett - 06-06-2011 So I guess it was made on MMD, huh? The pic was taken from this scene, right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltuJsbOLGh0&feature=related Sephiroth from Dissidia still fits the scene pretty well. I should really do some more research on MMD. RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - valforwing - 06-11-2011 yup I used the background picture to pose the sephiroth dissidia model now for the next images i decided on the idea of a strange race across gameing platforms The First being Roxas and Ventus raceing through the Hundred Acre Wood Then in a city called Gekiokai Cloud Races along on his Fenrir challageing a Feraligator in Captain Dark's Kart. And then finally The lone legendary left handed swordsman Link must ride a new steed of who kinda looks girly And Last But Not Least An Adorable tiny lion cub playing with giant yarnballs RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - Davy Jones - 06-12-2011 Oh my god... RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - valforwing - 06-12-2011 if u think that is funny take a look at this RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - Corey_Faure - 07-20-2011 I'm going to try and use Spyro models (of the Sunrise Spring homeworld) to act as kind of a reference for re-making Sunrise Spring in the Source games. That is my ultimate goal. RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - GrimmJeel - 08-02-2011 How do you guys rig the models, and get the backgrounds/level things? Please explain such this wizardry RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - yoyonerd - 08-02-2011 there are several ways, people use gmod, (or thats when you already have it rigged) some people use 3dmax to rig, using bones or joints sistem.. i use milkshape 3D , it has a cool joint sistem, but you have to assign every joint by hand.. that can wear you out because it takes waaay too long some people use a software called.. vocaloid i think.. and theres another software called Lara.... hmm.. lara something.. it acepts obj files i never used any of these two softwares but i see a lot of animations made on youtube using this tools.. so.. you might wanna give it a try, no coding expertise needed so.. yhea.. oh, and theres a game engine called blender... and unity too, but anim on unity is reaaaly cripted |
