RE: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze - Koopaul - 12-06-2013 So Reggie is going to be on Spike TV's VGX. He going to announce something for an upcoming Wii U game. It might be Cranky. I really want to see some footage of how the old ape plays into all this. RE: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze - Jermungandr - 12-06-2013 Personally I want Cranky to ride on DK's back and be completely useless save for throwing out his usual crotchety observations. RE: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze - Zero Kirby - 12-06-2013 I'm hoping he has an infinite supply of canes he can either throw at enemies or use to hit Donkey Kong like a giant golfball at 'em instead for massive damage. Complete with old eight-bit sound effects because otherwise Cranky would have... I dunno, walked off the set, except in video games? Of course that would be too cool. I'm not actually expecting Cranky to be playable, though. I think he's on the cover because, well, he got kicked off of DK Island too. RE: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze - TomGuycott - 12-06-2013 Cranky should play like Scrooge from Ducktales. RE: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze - Koopaul - 12-07-2013 And he does of course! Oh and it looks like he throws false teeth too! RE: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze - SchAlternate - 12-07-2013 Of course he does! Ducktales is such a classic, after all. Lol/jk Still, I have my fingers crossed for K.Rool to have some sort of role in the game. RE: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze - TomGuycott - 12-07-2013 aslfkahglfhaslkfahlfhasf I was joking!!! RE: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze - Omega - 12-08-2013 Life is like a hurricane here on Dk isle. Bananas, Barrels Tiki men and crocodiles. Lets solve a mystery of the Banana hoard that is missing Donkeykong WOO HOO. RE: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze - Koopaul - 12-08-2013 So there was a huge bitchstorm in certain communities over this. They are just plain pissed that Retro is still making DKC games and it's getting tons of promotion. They were hoping for Zelda U or something, really guys? RE: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze - E-Man - 12-08-2013 Seriously? They're complaining about not getting a sneak peek at a new Zelda game when they just got their mitts on a fantastic Zelda game to keep them busy? While I like Zelda as much as the next guy, what's with the sour attitude towards anything that isn't Zelda U or whatever? Retro is doing everyone in the Rare community a huge favor by creating DKC games that are just as god as the ones Rare made, so there's no need to bash on them for "taking the spotlight" that would have been used for another Nintendo game. Besides, did they remembered that this game was delayed a few months ago? From what I see, all Nintendo is trying to do is give a part of their loyal fans information on a game they're dying to play and put the frustrating rumors of the fourth character to rest. It just goes to show that not even big companies can please all of the people all of the time... RE: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze - Chaoxys - 12-08-2013 I think the issue is that Reggie hinted that there would be something shown at VGX and people let their speculations snowball out of control, and by yesterday, half the people on the internet were claiming that Nintendo promised us multiple times that we'd see the greatest thing of all times. The only thing I do agree with that I've seen people mentioning is that maybe DK wasn't the best game to show off given the audience. I'm personally fine with it but still. RE: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze - Jermungandr - 12-08-2013 I must say it's a rather nice difference to see the people around here keeping their sanity. RE: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze - Ton - 12-09-2013 Cranky wasn't expected, but I'm totally cool with it. Especially since he's kind of a successor to Scrooge. RE: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze - Terminal Devastation - 12-09-2013 Now the question is, does he swim in a vault full of banana coins, or just plain bananas? RE: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze - ImSpidey2 - 12-10-2013 (12-08-2013, 10:56 AM)E-Man Wrote: Seriously? I'm not an big fan of Zelda, but seriously, they just released A Link Between Worlds... |
