RE: Mabelma's sprites - JosephSeraph - 03-08-2009 Pure gray is crap. at least for nature.... use a more broenish, or bluish, depending on dirnyness. I made an edit. can you see where one shade stops and other begins? no? that´s a good thing, mostly ^^' I added two shades of greyish blue. it looks and feels more natural. also note i sprayed dots. but not randomly. i did this manually, and to prove that, i´ve made some perceptible irregularities on the stone. you cannot shade like you do... you need to avail other sprites´ method of shading, and try to mimicize... Have you played RPG maker games whose rivers were exacty a straight line? that feels wrong right? you should randomize more your shadings, -especially- on natural surfaces. take a peek at these stones: they´re natural feeling! he acctually sprayed pixels many times, and tried to imitate real-life patterns... RE: Mabelma's sprites - Mabelma - 03-08-2009 Thanks Joseph but I think that the tiles are too small to fit in a 550*500 screen for my game and I also think that I'm in need of a good character instead of the skull cause the skull is too small. I was thinking of making the skull my main character and when he got to a certain level he could transform into a lvl two skull and he could have hands and on the 3 lvl e'll have a complete body.
