His head needs to face the same direction as his body, or Ness just isn't going to feel right. He'll have to turn around for every attack that is supposed to go forward, which would just be weird. If you fight with your back to the enemy, you have a backfighting-style, primarily using your elbows, not baseball bats and psychic powers. Plus a pose like this could confuse the player as to which direction they're facing. I like the spriting, good job, but I really don't like it as his idle.

Maybe move the whole body (the torso and lower) a pixel over, thats just me though.

They don't have to match up exactly. Though he does look like he's doing "I'm a little teapot." Maybe we can give him a more active stance?
