RE: what can be improved on the next Super Smash Bros - Koopaul - 04-27-2009 Crawling should be accessible for most characters, I don't see why not. RE: what can be improved on the next Super Smash Bros - Geo the Fox - 04-27-2009 Seeing Kirby and Jiggly crawl would be weird. And considering their bodies, it wouldn't help much! I doubt ROB is capable of crawling. --- I have a hate and like for tripping... I think it's a GOOD idea, that wasn't implemented as well as it could have been. What I think, is that they should keep how some attacks trip you often, like Kirby's and Ness' down tilts. But remove how tripping seems to happen randomly, cept on ice. Maybe have you trip a little often when you try doing that dash dancing thing. Melee's air dodge system was stupid. Wave dashing was equally stupid. Brawl's is fine and should be left as is. They should increase the gravity more, since the game is wayyy too floaty. Lengthen the time of hit stun to be more comparable to SSB, and bring back melee style L-cancelling. Also, removing the set range for some attacks would be a good idea too. Fox/Falco/Wolf's lasers and Samus' charge shot really didn't deserve that nerf. Also, ZSS's shot should have a bit more range. Online play would have to be seriously improved upon for obvious reasons. And that's not even the half of it. RE: what can be improved on the next Super Smash Bros - Koopaul - 04-27-2009 Sakurai said he made the game more floaty for better aerial combat. Which I agree the combat in the air is much better. I always enjoy aerial fighting. I jump and attack a lot in the air. I'm not so good on the ground. RE: what can be improved on the next Super Smash Bros - Bigfoot - 04-27-2009 Maybe make crawling useful for something besides dodging projectiles. Like have a block that characters can only crawl under. In story it could be used so that you need to come back to a level with someone who can crawl to reach a secret area and get a trophy or sticker. RE: what can be improved on the next Super Smash Bros - tsr moderation staff - 04-27-2009 IMO they should just make a version with the best stuff from every game then leave the series behind. All stages and characters, melee speed, try and get the balance perfect. They should just look at the reception brawl got and take the best of each game. Maybe add a couple new characters, stages, things like that, but nothing outstanding. I always loved finishing like that. It would also be great to see the melee air dodge back in. It was useful to be able to move while doing that even if just a little bit. RE: what can be improved on the next Super Smash Bros - tsr moderation staff - 04-28-2009 why? You're invincible while you do it so what's the purpose of a little dodge with it. Aside from wavedashing that is. RE: what can be improved on the next Super Smash Bros - Vipershark - 04-28-2009 because it allowed you to direction-cancel in midair about to fly off the right side of the map? cancel off to the left. you'll have a chance of getting back on your feet. ALSO make the hammer good again the whole breaking thing is dumb and the hammer is basically worthless now it's supposed to be the best item just make it good again and get rid of the golden hammer as it's redundant RE: what can be improved on the next Super Smash Bros - Goemar - 04-29-2009 I'd like to see a tag-team system added into it and having some actual combos couldn't hurt too much, as long as they were simple. Brawl just didn't add enough from Melee in my eyes so the next game needs some BIG additions. |
