RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Gussprint - 03-23-2011 BUMP! Finally got a new sheet rollin'... and took much longer than it should've. Again. What a surprise, huh? Ah well, at least it's as good as done now. Have some ID! Rebellion "BeastMachine" Unit 001 - Drill Worm[Metal Slug 7] <-- First one to shout the Gurren Lagann reference WILL get thwomp'd. (Used the icon for the demo image, of course. Have you seen the size of this thing!?) Somebody cue the theme "Slam Down"*, 'cause I've got one real behemoth-sized creep. Boss of "Mission 1: Scrap Island", and a big pain in the butt. Not just for those unlucky enough to cross its path, but also for me, who had a hard time assembling the segments' various sprites. That said, this sheet contains every animation, SFX, piece and trinket from the data, including that oh-so-elusive "garbage bomb". Phew... Of course, that's not all. Oh, no. There's a couple of updated sheets coming this way. Once again, these updates were possible thanks to futaokuu(AKA c2000mc), so if you need to thank someone for those, thank him. Here's the scoop on the updates, copypasta-ed from MSDB. Quote: And that's it for today. Hopefully the next sprite rip that I have in mind won't be horribly late. What next sprite rip? ...Well, I'll give you a hint: it has something to do with something I'm a big fan of. I'll let y'all guess it out, though I'm sure it'll be pretty obvious if you check my sig. Later! *The name of the boss BGM from "Megaman ZX: Advent". RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Garamonde - 03-23-2011 Wow you really are good at ripping those huge MS graphics! It looks like such a pain to rip aaaaall of those sprites! I could never do that. :o RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Dazz - 03-24-2011 Uploading now - we need to work out a better way of hosting these sprites instead of uploading a sheet to each game, haha These are great rips as always though man - great job. RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Gussprint - 05-13-2011 BUMP!! Rise an' shine, everybody! We've got a new sheet on the way... but first, I'd like for you to check the date today. You did? Good. Then I can roll the new sheet in. Somebody cue "UREI"* for me, would ya? Here's the ID! Yumi (Casual Wear) [Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi: Kaznapped!!] <-- "I don't need a test to tell me who I am. Hello? "Goddess of Rock"!!" (Bonus points to whoever recognizes the quote. May or may not be actual quote, though... I'm going by memory here.) Yup, went there again. Hey, since I've ripped Ami's sprites, I might as well go and tackle Yumi too. ...Not that way, ya pervs. Jeez... So yeah, it's a full rip of our self-proclaimed "Goddess of Rock" from "Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi: Kaznapped!!", with all animations and SFX ripped and primed out. And this time I've made sure I've got them all, carefully checking their animations frame by frame. Now I bet you're all wondering "Wait, isn't there a rip on the site already? Why are you posting this?". Well, it's true that Dazz did rip these sprites long before, but he's appearently missed those 4-1 exclusive sprites on the way(Unless those were a separate set completely, but what the heck). That, and I've noticed there were a few incongruencies in a few parts of his sheet... So I figured I'd try my hand at this, then figured "Aah, what the hell" and went the whole nine yards with it. You decide. That said, these sprites went under the same ripping process as Ami's sprites. Here's the details: -Most(If not all) of the sprites in the sheet have been given a bit of a fix/polish. -Some animations have been given a few extra sprites. -Misc. section includes most of Yumi's pixelarts from the game. Now then, why exactly did I ask for today's date? Weeeelll, I have reason to believe that today marks Puffy AmiYumi's 15th anniversary. Their first single, "Asia no Junshin", was released this day fifteen years ago. Keep on rockin', girls! And that's all for today, everybody. As always, click on the animation for the sheet. Bye-bye-boo~! *Needless to say, it's a song from Puffy AmiYumi. RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Garamonde - 05-13-2011 Whoa that rocks (no pun intended)! RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Dazz - 05-14-2011 Actually, I never ripped those sprites Someone called Lee did. RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Gussprint - 05-14-2011 (05-14-2011, 05:28 AM)Dazz Wrote: Actually, I never ripped those sprites ...Crap, you're right. I've just checked the other rip. Rather major mix-up there, huh... Sorry, man! Didn't mean to! I oughta get my eyes checked, really... or at least connect my brain more often. Primarily the memory centrals. RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Dazz - 05-14-2011 Haha, nah, to be fair, I made the credit tags that were used on those sheets, so that makes sense you'd get them confused. Kind of interesting that you can see my tag style though. That rip is genius by the way, I really loved that game. RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Gussprint - 09-29-2011 *Checks last post's date* ...Okay, you know what? This topic's been in the cryo-sleep tube for far too long. BUMP TIME!! *Activates the computerized stereo. "Escape From the City"* starts playing in the background* Whew... So, it's been a long time, huh, fellas? Well, seemingly endless high temp periods can do that for ya. ...That and laziness, too, but that's another story. So yeah, this summer's been a particularily hot one at my place. Betcha a Metroid would thrive on that kind of ambient, heh... too bad I'm the exact opposite. But I'm sure you wanna see the new sheets, right? Lemme just fire up the IDs... *Presses a button on the stereo. The ending theme from Metroid Prime now plays in the background* Yakuza [Metroid: Fusion] <-- Tough(And hideous) sell, right here. Yup, back in Samus' world for now. This time with plenty more knowledge, to boot. Anyway, the sheet. You may remember me attempting to rip this guy a long time back. I decided to try again, and this time I've been very careful to catch ALL pieces from the data. But that's not all I've got for today. On the way to Yakuza, I've been grabbing sprites of various enemies and objects from the game. I have one of these things in another sheet. ...Now the question is, should I play "Zebesian Brood"**, or is it okay if I go with the Metroid Prime variant? Space Pirate (Zebesian) [Metroid: Fusion] <-- "It's time to rise, bretheren! We will NOT be denied!!" Nothing much to say here, it's all sprites from the tiles. Includes the Aqua variant from Sector 4[AQA] and the "Golden" palette, as well as a half-assed tentative at making a full 3/4 view bust sprite. But just 'cause I'm a completionist, I've included the original sprite it was based from(Look around the palette/demo space). On a slightly related note, is it just me or did they use the same design for the Zebesians in Metroid: Other M? And that's all I've got for today. A bit of a small comeback, I know, but this was just to show I'm still alive and packing. That said, I have some more stuff to come from the game. Stay tuned! *The name of the BGM that plays in the stage "City Escape" in "Sonic Adventure 2". **From "Super Metroid". According to the Super Metroid OSV, that's the name of the BGM that plays when the Space Pirates first appear. RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Ton - 09-29-2011 Great stuff! RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Gussprint - 10-25-2011 *Ke-rumph* Alright fellas, it's another bump. You know what that means, right? Omega Metroid [Metroid: Fusion] <-- Cue the obligatory quote for this one. Whew... Boy, was this one a doozy. Last boss of Fusion, and quite the change from its original appearance. Don't wanna be near this without a cold containment device, I'll tell you that. Nothing much to say here, it's all sprites from the tiles. I have a few things to note, though: °1 - The sprites in green boxes are edited/custom sprites. A little extra from me so that the whole thing doesn't look like a garbled conglomeration of tiles when animated. °2 - I was unable to piece the drool sprites correctly, so I just included the 8x8 tiles in the sheet. Anybody who wants to give it a shot, go nuts. And that's it for today. A little measly, I know, but it's the only one I had ready at the moment. Will be back with more stuff soon, though. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be shredding into the streets of Arkham City for a while. Peace out! RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Ton - 10-25-2011 Awesome! RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Gussprint - 12-18-2011 ...Well, it's yet another bump. What a surprise, huh? *Activates the computerized stereo. "Lorenzen's Soil"* starts playing in the background* So what do we have here today? There's a couple of new spritesheets, one new and one "update", so to speak. Have some ID! Kiru Giru [Metroid: ZERO Mission] <-- Pardon the slightly sloppy animation. HOLY CRUD, SOMEONE ACTUALLY RIPPED THIS THING!? THIS IS MADNESS!!! ...And then some. ...Seriously though, why hasn't anyone ever bothered to rip this thing yet baffles me plenty. So I went and, through numerous trips, fixed this discrepancy. And here it is, that larva found in the depths of Norfair. Includes both forms and all(And I mean ALL) sprites and related objects, even that cocoon when you reach it early on. The second one is, funnily enough, related to this first one. Take a look. Imago [Metroid: ZERO Mission] Because stuff like this just can't be ripped snapshot only. This one is the result of a Kiru Giru coccon's premature opening. Not a pretty sight, yo~. All sprites were ripped from the tiles, complete with flashing palettes for its abdomen/stinger/whatever. And that's it for now. Next item on the agenda, let's see... who's up for some data recording machinery? *From "Earthworm Jim 2". One of the reasons why I miss the '90s. ...I've just realized the boss of that stage was a larva as well. Coincidence much? RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Dazz - 12-19-2011 AMAZING. I love you so much buddy RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III - Miles07 - 12-25-2011 Getting down with the 'Troid. Nice. And yes, it did seem to me that they reused that style of Zebesians for Other M, although that might be for the sake of continuity. There's plenty of talk about it over at MHQ. |
