Be it stated that Chikorita is the lamest starter of all time. Torchic can evolve to Blaziken, but Chikorita evolves to Meganium, which is still lame

Torchic can digivolve to Blaziken, this makes Torchic the worse starter there is.

No, not in every way, just speed. They're pretty much even otherwise, and one can be substituted for the other if you're not seeking opimisation.
I prefer Blaziken.

Infernape can easily learn blaze kick through breeding.
and he learns close combat, best fighting move and is way more effective than sky uppercut, while blaziken doesnt.

theyre even otherwise but infernape has a more useful movepool and better speed, i mean cmon, grass knot.
