Oh, so the programmer runs the game now.
No, that's really not how it works.
The head of the project decides what goes in and what goes out. If the programmer either "can't" do it or "doesn't know how to,"then that's when you find a second programmer who programs what you need, and maybe even does bug fixes. If the programmer "doesn't want to," you fire his ass and get a new programmer.

I don't think DLC is that hard for the programmer, but is it really necessary?
I was thinking of including an option in the game for a character editor/designer because the more I think about it, the better (and easier solution) it seems to be.
There would be lots of work needed to create a character through the designer, but then the data for an entire character could be put into one single file, and in a sense, be a DLC.

Not every character we want will get in. DLC or not. I want Takamaru and Mike Jones, but that's probably not going to happen.
After whatever happens in the FE thread with the characters (Fate of Roy, 4th FE character, and Ton mentioned he'd be willing to drop Dixie and Kiddy) let's just stop bitching about the roster.

Again, DLC is up to the game heads. Since they're for it, as far as I know, DLC is going to happen.
And even if it doesn't for some completely stupid reason, the point about bringing up DLC all the time is to prioritize who's going to be in the "final" press of the game. If we just say "yeah expand the roster" someone's gonna say "HEY LET'S PUT THIS DICKFUCK IN THE GAME" and people will agree and other people will disagree and NOTHING WILL GET DONE. We're apparently having a hard enough time getting shit done as it is, there's no way in hell expanding the roster will help anything.

(even though I don't really agree to the roster, Fire Emblem and Mother has the same number of characters than Zelda, and I think we could have created another Pokemon character instead of Pichu, and i don't know who the fuck is that last character)

I must say that roster is better than most that I've seen on the net. For the most part people are happy with characters like Krystal and Little Mac. Its those few bumps that everyone complains about.

I think that the FE character and the DK character that aren't yet decided should be characters from new series or from other series.
Isaac, Sukapon, Paper Mario, Wolf Link w/Midna, Young Link, another Pokemon or another Pokemon Trainer (changing the previous Pokemon Trainer title to Pokemon Champion/Pokemon Master? I'd like to see Ruby or Gold as another Pokemon Trainer) or a character from a more obscure Nintendo franchise or game.

Paper Mario, Wolf Link, Young Link, and another Pokemon Trainer have already been shot down several times for different reasons.
I would like to note that amount-of-playable-characters != series representation. There are some series that [i]don'[/s] need more than two or even one playable character for them.

Mii would be pointless seeing as this isn't going to be playable on the Wii, and thus we wouldn't be able to load them into the game.
Also I will rage so hard is someone makes a certain kind of pun/reference to tabletop RPGs.
