Sorry. but one question shouldn't be left unanswered by over 24 hours. even when I said I wanted to upload models to all of you... I end cancelling it before even starting by just technical problems... and that's not the way of Farlavor... When Farlavor says... I will upload models of X game...  I will... that's all. I may screw, or may not... That's a thing I should at least try.

just in case I find something I cannot import,rip,convert or either open, I will upload the raw file here, and let the others do the work on my place... I prefer doing that instead of nothing.

Let's hope this plugin works with 3DS Max 2009. becuz I will not stay all week doing nothing than just searching for videos that sadly never appears, due for the worst way Youtube searches videos. (Neither I could be able to see all the new features of Disgaea 5 on Youtube and Twitch, just plain gameplay and zero farming... after one week of it's release on japan)

Try the student version of 2012, I know that works great!

One thing I didn't mentioned was that I had since I was born with the most baddest of all lucks. I had some kind of talent and creativity... But everything goes terribly bad in the most awkward ways and too frequently. It's a fact that it happened everyday on my life. My mobile got broken and my parents forgot to go to a place to fix it. Maria my older niece forgot her promise to record her pet dog on my sisters house on Galicia, after 2 weeks of holidays. She had no choice but to record her dog but very badly due for the race she took, so the video quality dropped when I needed a video of that cute creature during his paw licking session. I had waited for 3 damn years. That's why after getting tired, I needed the most rigged models of every creature possible. Don't ask me why. Plz.   Cry

My computer failed to function when I got inspired on one of the final chapters of my RPG. So I cannot write the script and storyboard... And this afternoon I have to do a session with frank and I cannot do that due for my computer.  Cry

Thanks for the info anyway guys... Once I get it fixed... I will download 3ds max 2012... 

If at least I would move into a new home on a big city like Madrid or go back to my birthplace Melilla, this would never happened... Ever.  Angry

Anyway... If I lose all the data I gathered due for this, I call it quits. Consider this like the worst case scenario... I think that's reasonable to explain it even if I had to tell my own damn life. You all had the talent to rip anything and I cannot. I would give it a try. But... First.

I can't do hex editing, I can't make scripts. I can't comprehend common compressions for files like PAKs or SZS. Anything else. Just importing BRRES with viewer and converting with Noesis. But I will get the files from the 3ds roms I have already and share the raw files to you. At least even if I am a noob. I think I can help with the things I can.
I only need luck to have my HD undamaged.

You looked like a bit like me saying this... Heh... I only wanted to be recognized for doing something, i think that is what everyone wants at the end... Well, it started when I made a goal for myself, make a viewer for the XY models. Well, after some time I finished the basic viewer (didnt even knew that model had rigging at that time, it is like my 2nd try with 3d models), so after I finished the basic functionality, a friend said to me that I wouldnt be able to nake a viewer for ORAS because the format was different. This pretty much made me hunt for what changed on the new format, and after some hours my viewer was also able to work with the new format too! So I pretty much was feeling that I could be recognized for this work, be at least know at the scene, the first app to ever extract ORAS models, yay! Didnt took much until I figured out that *caham* RTB had already extracted the very same model from the ORAS demo several weeks before me... It was like a stab in the chest. But it was OK, his currently released script was only able to work with XY, and had their own problems. So, I pretty much worked on a basic GUI and some extra features for the first release, since it was just bare bones of a viewer at the time. It kinda worked for some time, but it had a small problem... the fuckin rigging... But it was very broken on RTB script at the time afaik, plus it had no support for ORAS, this, I guess, was what made ppl still use my software I think. Now, guess what? Yea, he released a script that he not only claims to extract rigged models flawlessly, but also have ORAS support. Ok, it will not take much to me and the contribution I made to be forgotten.

This made me start to rewrite the software. Without hacks. RTB script is pretty shite, first, if is a BCH script, it should open all BCHs without flaws, but well, he have separated scripts with different hacks to make them work with each game... I even tried to contact him, asking for help and trying to help him with whatever I could. But he never awsered my PMs, he just ignores, dunno why. He only awsered one and barely awsered what I said.

Anyway, what Im trying to say here Farlavor is, dont care too much about it. There is always people that can shine and others that cant. Life is painful, do stuff at your on peace and dont care too much. Also I dont think that REing custom formats cant be considered "talent", just need to learn the basic stuff, like endianess, pointers, bit manipulation and such. You get this over the time. Sorry about that. I had so many things that I'd been working on lately that I didn't get a chance to do anything related to this topic. And don't feel as if I'm ignoring you -- I read the PMs, but I don't exactly know how I'd go about explaining what needs to be done to apply rigging for your own importer considering that yes, my script is incredibly sloppy overall and looking back it's overly complicated and hackish. And I never intended it to be a contest of sorts to see who gets things done first, I'd rather you get your own importer polished up instead. Sick

All right guys... I'm glad that this is solved. Honestly I was busy since my computer got broken days ago. The only thing I'm afraid is the HD. if all the data are lost forever, then I consider myself screwed up...

Weirdly my computer got screwed up 3-4 times this year... It's a complete piece of junk and garbage.  Cry

Anyway... If by any chance I get my computer back to its fullest capabilities, I will try to rip something... Specially becuz we hadn't fully ripped all the 3ds roms yet. And I think I will try with some of them... But even if I try it... I cannot guarantee any success, specially because I might find new format files that may be complicated, like happened to KHDDD formats. Or the different versions of BCH from XY, and ORAS. Besides... You are the only ones who knows how to do the scripting and how to decrypt game specific formats. The only hex editing I done was to edit a Suikoden 2 save game to unlock all characters... And even so, I didn't unlocked all of them (a few of the 108 stars, Boris and McDohl are the ones I didn't unlock that way)... And some years later I did it again for the same purpose but as well, maxing out the characters stats. If that's the furthest I can go on hex editing. How can I even try to comprehend format compressions and how to decrypt/convert them?
Is there a tutorial that only needs some hours to understand and it's easy to understand even for nOObs like me?  Shy... At least I am a quick learner, and I need to do something for myself, to let RTB, TGE and others focus on the main ripping projects.

On the other hand... The reasons I going to do this are for not just only to get recognition.
1- I want models for certain creatures, character, npcs... Even if I have to do it myself. And for now, we are indeed getting plenty of them.
2- I want to clean the name of Farlavor that got unfairly tarnished from my past YouTube experience. Honestly, if it has to happen again or my infamy reaches here and you simply rejects or even ban me... I will commit suicide... Becuz I am really, really depressed from that experience, even if it has happened 2 years ago.
3- I want to do this to compensate from the day TGE tried with no success at ripping and converting the Sadaharu model I gave. Specially considering that if we succeeded at that, Sadaharu wouldn't be the only ripped model, but also all Gintama models as well... Also that got me discouraged, becuz it was from a Wii ISO. I would just not be pissed off if it would be from J Star Victory VS, becuz the models were impossible to rip from that game. But from a Wii ISO?... That made me felt I'm even lower than a nOOb... I felt like I was a total wuss, a failure, a good for nothing. Cry
Even so I was enraged... And it wasn't his fault... He was a volunteer. And at least he tried to help me with his knowledge... Even he asked for help in Zenhax, So as a way to ask him for forgiveness, I decided to do the ripping stuff for myself.

If I ever have a chance to convert that model as well, I would be happier. But I know I can't for now.

Yea, I would still like the help... If you have any way to contact you real time (a chat) please PM me, like Skype, an IRC channel or something. Because talking with PMs is a pain.

Also, guess what? my GPU died... now I need to use the onboard shit. DirectX is not working anymore, which mean that I can't run the old version of Ohana3DS anymore... I'll take a look later, it is probably a driver issue. Other apps like Firefox also have graphical glitches I never seen before... Cinema4D is still working though... The good news is that the new version of the software will probably fix the issue for the few users that got an exception at startup too.

@Farlavor - You can find tutorials about the basic stuff related to romhacking (like here), but every format have its own challenges you need to figure out. So the only way to do this is with experience, starting with the easy formats (after reading the tutorials, or just messing around) and moving to the harder ones. Not something to learn in a day, but a couple of months. Also, for curiosity sake, what happened on the Youtube channel you're talking? I wouldnt care much for a bunch of kids saying bullshit on yt.

Of course you can... So just relax and chill out... On my case I think the easiest one way to help you is trying some rips for myself with your plugin... For now my computer is being repaired.

@gdkchan thank you very much for the tutorial... I think I have just no choice but to start from there, since complaining about how bad I am at ripping one format or other doesn't lead me to the results I was looking for. And honestly... I think you need to know more about my experience on yt and I can explain it in private message. 

@chirz ...plz just wait... I normally pay a visit for updates 1-2 days... And I know it is very annoying that something is not coming... Even if my most favorite Pokemon are already in download page, there's still Pokemon I would like to get, and even so... I don't need to do requests at the moment, concerning the models I gonna rip from Pokemon, I dunno if I can do it like RTB. So until I succeed at that I won't upload them.  Big Grin

Besides, I haven't any working computer right now. It's quite boring not being able to do anything, specially on my projects with my RPG. That got delayed and if my computer wouldn't be broken... I would be already doing the Valvatorez saga. (Disgaea 4 story) and even I would kicked Axel's *censored* during the A virus pandemic chapter, along with Pelusa, Fenrich, Fuka, Desco, and the rest of the hades party (my niece Maria roleplays as both Fuka and Desco  Smile)... Even a close friend of mine is getting impatient too. I hate my computer for being too easy to malfunction.  Shy
