RE: Game cast- No new character suggestions - Ark Kuvis - 11-06-2009 I think this is the perfect roster. Especially if we want to get shit done. Jigglypuff better be DLC though >( RE: Game cast- No new character suggestions - Wes - 11-06-2009 The thing about Toon Link is that there really isn't anyone else from the Zelda series thats really as important as him. He's the main protagonist of 6 games. We could exclude him all together, but Zelda is definitely worthy of more than 4 characters. Having Zelda with the same number of reps as Mother just plain doesn't seem right. RE: Game cast- No new character suggestions - Kairos - 11-06-2009 I agree. I like Mother, and I like Zelda, and Zelda is way more deserving of 4 reps while Mario has 5. RE: Game cast- No new character suggestions - Wes - 11-06-2009 Wait, Mario only has 5? Oh right we're not including Geno. RE: Game cast- No new character suggestions - Kairos - 11-06-2009 Well Including Geno, it's 6. And if we're not going by my roster, Pokemon has 8. RE: Game cast- No new character suggestions - Ton - 11-06-2009 So you want to have Toon Link's enemy without having Toon Link? RE: Game cast- No new character suggestions - Sol - 11-06-2009 Toon Link is an okay character in my opinion. He isn't exactly a different version of the same character, considering the Links in most Zelda games are actually different people, and a unique moveset could easily be made for him. Just a place holder, really. =/ RE: Game cast- No new character suggestions - Ton - 11-06-2009 Toon Link IS getting a change in his moveset. Check his topic. I wasn't saying he isn't, I was just pointing out the possibility is there. :P RE: Game cast- No new character suggestions - Ton - 11-06-2009 Ah, ok. RE: Game cast- No new character suggestions - Ekoi - 11-06-2009 And the cycle begins anew. :/ RE: Game cast- No new character suggestions - Teeks - 11-06-2009 (11-06-2009, 06:40 AM)Arthur Wrote:(11-06-2009, 03:57 AM)Teeks Wrote:I'm all for Simon and Isaac but with the other two I really hope you're trolling. No, this is dead serious. Square is an important gaming company, one of the most well known, and Final Fantasy is their biggest franchise. Well, the Final Fantasy series has a constantly changing cast of characters, so picking somebody like Cloud, who's been on a Nintendon console like once, wouldn't make sense to represent the whole series. So I think Chocobo is a logical choice. Chocobo are sort of like mascots for the series, having been in many of the FF games, plus, Chocobo has had his own series of games, many being on a Nintendo platform. So not only does he represent Final Fantasy, but his own little series as well. Sora was added to go with the idea that each company gets a second rep. He could be replaced by Crono from Chrono Trigger for obvious fan reasons or a Moogle because he too is a FF mascot, but my fanboyism wants Sora more. He has a wide range of moves and creating a final smash would be simple. While he has been on Playstation more, two important Kingdom Hearts games were on the GBA and the DS and they advance the story along and basically need to be played to understand some stuff. Koopaul's argument of him being more of a "Playstation guy" is bull since Snake, while originating on the NES in America, has had all his most popular recent games appear on the PS2/3 and PSP. He had one on the Gamecube and I think Gameboy, but that's it. Sora's a good choice for another Square rep or whatever. I never said you all would agree with me, I just think it's a good way to settle this whole stupid situation. Though even then, it would never be settled. I can't actually see how you could settle the situation by just adding third-party characters in the blank spaces, while the whole discussion was about taking out some of the characters out of it to make room for other series RE: Game cast- No new character suggestions - Shawn - 11-06-2009 fff yes teeks! chocobo dungeon is the best series. i love crystal chronicles too though. c anyway, if you havent noticed, kojima is a slut and thats why snake and other characters of his have cameos in so many games. the boktai/ mmbn crossover thing and snake in brawl are primary examples of this. i still think tails should be dropped for a namco character though. |
