RE: ITEMS! - soulcaliburfan - 12-01-2009 Agreed RE: ITEMS! - Alpha Six - 12-01-2009 The Sonic item should be the TV. Straight up. You can either get a coin, 5 coins, 20 coins (note that the coins scatter about) or the Shield. And there'll be a random Robotnik symbol that summons a baddie out of the TV instead of an item. RE: ITEMS! - Ton - 12-01-2009 What would be the difference between the coin denominations? RE: ITEMS! - Cshad - 12-01-2009 The coins could remove a % of health. %5, %20, %50? RE: ITEMS! - Alpha Six - 12-01-2009 Yeah, I like the way that sounds. Rings function like food does, only instead of picking it up manually, just collide with it like in the games. RE: ITEMS! - Ton - 12-01-2009 So does it heal or prevent damage? RE: ITEMS! - Alpha Six - 12-01-2009 It can go one of 3 ways; 1) Make it heal damage. 2) Add a counter that tells you how many Rings you have. When you take damage, you spill all the rings you have, but you don't take damage percentage. When you take damage, they spill back onto the screen. 3) Same as above, but when they spill out, they fall through the stage if you don't recollect them while they're still in the air. 1 is simplest, 2 can have the potential to be slightly unbalanced, and 3 would probably look lame and I guarantee Sonic fans wouldn't approve. I kinda don't but it's a bit more balanced than 2. I dunno. RE: ITEMS! - tsr moderation staff - 12-01-2009 i would prefer blocking one hit per ring. RE: ITEMS! - Teddy The Elite - 12-01-2009 ^Agreed. It takes away from the actual Sonic ring, plus it's much more simpler. EDIT: @tuner: I seem to be thanking you alot lately. Haha. RE: ITEMS! - tsr moderation staff - 12-01-2009 and more unique. it can be extremely helpful or nigh on useless RE: ITEMS! - Ton - 12-01-2009 Ok, blocks one hit, but disappears after one use? They could just drop it and it disappears like in the games. RE: ITEMS! - Teddy The Elite - 12-01-2009 Agreed. RE: ITEMS! - tsr moderation staff - 12-01-2009 sounds good. we should also have the tvs though RE: ITEMS! - Koopaul - 12-01-2009 Knock it out of someone and someone else could pick it up if quick enough. |
