RE: Dark Souls - TomGuycott - 10-23-2012 I'm getting a damn system update on my PS3, so I have to wait to download it. T_T It wasn't up in the afternoon today, so I ended up buying Final Fantasy Tactics because my sister and her friends accidentally broke my disc, and legend of dragoon because I never played it and always wanted to. RE: Dark Souls - PrettyNier - 10-23-2012 It's really fuckin great. RE: Dark Souls - Woppet* - 10-24-2012 I only beat Dark Souls for the first time yesterday, does that mean I'm gonna have to replay the whole game to get to the new DLC areas? Since NG+ just started? Awesome game btw, 10/10 would bang. Just placed an order for an import of the Design Works art book. RE: Dark Souls - TomGuycott - 10-24-2012 You do have to progress about halfway through the game to get to the new areas. Sorry Woppet. I just made a new character yesterday and had to get all the way there myself, I only just got there and now I have to go for a while. Its AMAZING though. It already looks so vast, and it begins the way you'd expect from Dark Souls. RE: Dark Souls - TomGuycott - 10-24-2012 RE: Dark Souls - Marth - 10-24-2012 No Woppet you don't have to play through the whole like 30+hours it takes to get to Anor Londo. Just boot up new game plus, and go straight for the top bell after that take the shortcut in Dark Root Basin to the Drake Valley, which leads you to a short cut to the end of Blight Town. Ring the second Bell and the only real challenge kicks in around Sen's Fortress and of course Anor Londo which I'm trekking my way through now. It only took about 4hours to get to Anor Londo this way (I got lucky I remembered all the short cuts since I spent an ungodly amount of time exploring the maps during my first play through). Current character build; Lvl 82. Mask of the Mother Golem Armor Set (aside from the helm) Gravelord servant's sword/blade/whatever Black Knight shield (or whatever). Ring of Favor Ring of tiny being( I think that's what it's called) Side equipment pyromancies and random heavy spells. Can't wait to get to the new content. Better than the collectors edition art book? Are you Jason? I get confuse. (10-24-2012, 12:11 PM)TomGuycott Wrote: I always thought the warp points were kinda retarded. I was constantly trecking to andre and that skeleton blacksmith, which both have no warp point. Yet anor londo gets 3 warp poins when it only needs 1, and nito's tomb gets a warp point even though there is nothing you can do there. Think I'll wait a while before i play it then, so it feels fresh again. holy shit i just realised that i took that shortcut the first time i played the game, even though i'd been to the depths and gotten the key to blightown. RE: Dark Souls - Gwen - 10-24-2012 That would be Jason. I'll probably get this game after I get Dishonored and Assassin's Creed III. I'm all for giving the series a fair try. RE: Dark Souls - Woppet* - 10-24-2012 Putting Dark Souls behind Dishonored and AC3 on your list of priorities. Shit Tyrone get it together. RE: Dark Souls - Gwen - 10-24-2012 AC III looks amazing, and I've been looking forward to Dishonored ever since hearing about it and hear nothing but great things about it from others. Dark Souls I've seen being played and it didn't really grab me, but it's reduced in price so now I can get it and try it out. RE: Dark Souls - Marth - 10-24-2012 Wop are you playing PS3 or Xbox? If you're on Xbox I'll co-op with you to make it go faster. Also wasn't Anor Londo really supposed to be a PvP center? It always seemed to be when I was trying to get through it the first time. I was invaded every 5 minutes and had to disconnect from online mode just so I could get through it in peace. Also it was the most fun place to PvP in because you basically had to hunt down your target. I'm really hoping the new content has some places like that for PvP, I loved the whole cat and mouse kind of fight it provoked (other than when the guy I was invading was an asshole and sat in a corner in the guardian's room and it took literally an hour and a half to find him) RE: Dark Souls - PrettyNier - 10-25-2012 Quote:Better than the collectors edition art book?Much. The pages are full-sized, there are about twice as many if not more, loads of concept art including stuff that didn't make it into the game at all, and it's all balanced well between environments, monsters and characters/equipment. Yeah, like Dylan said, I'm Jason. RE: Dark Souls - Woppet* - 10-25-2012 (10-24-2012, 08:08 PM)м▲я✞H Wrote: Wop are you playing PS3 or Xbox? If you're on Xbox I'll co-op with you to make it go faster.
