I'd suggest to shorten it to about 2/3 or even one half of its current length. Try to get some continuity - when you use the sprites in a game and switch between front/back and side view, it should not look awkward. I feel that you really wanted to portray this creature with accurate proportions which you simply cannot do with topdown as you can see. Which style would you recommend? Profile view like a platformer? Anyways, here's a quick update. I've just shrunk it loads. How does the shading look? RE: Top Down Velociraptor - Hoeloe - 04-15-2012 Not quite. Take a look at where you've put the legs. In the front sprite, they're at the same Z-level (depth) as the head, or thereabouts.
