RE: BEAT 'EM UP - Crappy Blue Luigi - 04-26-2012 alright, i'm working on a couple new characters, based on some close friends who have never even set foot here, and i want to get some criticism on the idles before i work on anything more for them. amber: i think amber's breasts might be moving too much. that's about it. i don't want to gainax. loaf: loaf's a sloth. i'm kind of worried that his fur tufts are too random for me to easily work with them in later animations. how would i go about making the sprite smoother, but still furry? RE: BEAT 'EM UP - Previous - 04-27-2012 Yes, they move too much, also she is leaning forward. YOu could stylize the fur, only place a few tufts at certein positions. Usually at joints and on the chest according to my furry folder. RE: BEAT 'EM UP - Crappy Blue Luigi - 04-27-2012 what's wrong with leaning forward? it's completely intentional. tried some stuff, both animation-wise and sprite-wise. RE: BEAT 'EM UP - Gors - 04-27-2012 why is her mouth where her ear would be it looks distracting, place the mouth in a more believable place. RE: BEAT 'EM UP - Crappy Blue Luigi - 04-27-2012 does this look better? Loaf: I think there needs to be some movement in this guy, maybe some breathing, wind blowing his fur? He looks stiff. RE: BEAT 'EM UP - Crappy Blue Luigi - 04-27-2012 can someone explain why amber shouldn't be leaning forward? i'm not sure i understand where the problem is. i'll gladly try to fix it, i just don't know why i'm fixing it. first attempt at breathing, not very confident in it. please dissect. RE: BEAT 'EM UP - Jamuk - 04-27-2012 I like it so far, it just looks like it needs more. It strikes me that a Wookiee thing would move its shoulders and perhaps flex its legs slightly when breathing. RE: BEAT 'EM UP - The KKM - 04-27-2012 Well if the leaning forward is intentional then I suppose it's fine, it's only that she looks like she's gonna fall on her face as soon as she lifts a foot. RE: BEAT 'EM UP - Gors - 04-27-2012 i see literally no change on the mouth put it BELOW her nose, not below her ear. Putting it that way looks dumb and ugly. RE: BEAT 'EM UP - Chaoxys - 04-27-2012 I thought that "mouth" was the rim of her glasses, unless I'm looking at the wrong thing. RE: BEAT 'EM UP - Crappy Blue Luigi - 04-27-2012 RE: BEAT 'EM UP - Deathbringer - 04-27-2012 I think you're right, they are part of her glasses. EDIT: This was written in response to Chaoxys' post. |
