RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Garamonde - 06-21-2012 What's the bouncy blue thing? Some kind of egg? RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Koopaul - 06-21-2012 Yeah it's supposed to be the Blue Eggs in the game. They bounce around. http://spriters-resource.com/other_systems/banjokazoo/sheet/32951 Maybe I made them too bouncy? RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Virt - 06-21-2012 The honeycombs' width shouldn't remain constant during all frames of the rotation. During the 45-degree angle part of the turn, the width should appear thinner. RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - TheGreatGatsby - 06-21-2012 Applied your suggestion, Troller. What does everyone think? Also I tried a darker shade inside the Extra Honeycomb, what looks better? The lighter or the darker shade? RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Virt - 06-22-2012 I wasn't saying to thin out the middle frame where you just see the side. It's a perspective thing-- certain faces of an object look like they're getting bigger or smaller while they're rotating. Since the first frame is a full-frontal view, it has to appear that the sides are getting larger as it rotates to the side-view frame. I'm not good at explaining this stuff, so just look it up or something. RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Gaia - 06-22-2012 ^ For example, a coin. That logic should also apply to the honeycombs as well. RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Garamonde - 06-22-2012 I prefer the lighter shade. However because the Honeycomb is very thick on it's side it stays at a similar width at an angle. Don't believe me? http://spriters-resource.com/gameboy_advance/banjokazoo/sheet/32771 RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Phantom Killah - 06-24-2012 Rough attempt at Mumbo I'm pretty rusty RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Koopaul - 06-25-2012 Yeah I tried Mumbo too. He's actually quite difficult. Keep trying, and maybe someone can help you. As for me I'm going to try out Tooty. RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Yo-Yo Boy - 06-25-2012 Messed around a little. RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Star - 06-25-2012 The problem with Mumbo is that his head/skull mask is not big enough. It needs to be bigger compared to his body. RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Badassbill - 06-25-2012 I did a bottles sprite years ago. You can use it as a reference, edit it or w/e. RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Phantom Killah - 06-25-2012 Mumbo version 3 |
