RE: Geno Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (Battle) - Ninspriterx - 01-21-2013 My two cents about how the colors are working together is that he kind looks too shiny and round.. like a plastic toy. When he should have more of a dull or flatter wood feel. I know it's odd for me to say this kind of thing but I believe it would overall make it fit in style more. So that would mean I have to change my wood pallet a little bit more? RE: Geno Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (Battle) - Garamonde - 01-22-2013 It'd be helpful if we had a M&L3 palette like our M&L:SS tutorial on the site... RE: Geno Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (Battle) - Ridge Troopa - 01-22-2013 Unlike the GBA, DS games aren't really bound by color limits - so BIS really doesn't have a viable palette. You have to either get creative or combine colors from existing sprites/backgrounds. RE: Geno Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (Battle) - megamario1234 - 01-22-2013 Which wood pallet you think is good for Geno? Pallet number 1 or 2? RE: Geno Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (Battle) - Ton - 01-22-2013 I like 2. RE: Geno Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (Battle) - Garamonde - 01-22-2013 yea 2 has a more woodsy feel in the darker brown. RE: Geno Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (Battle) - megamario1234 - 01-22-2013 Here is what I came up with the new idle. For this idle, should I stretch the legs and the feet a little bit or just leave the animation as the way it is? RE: Geno Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (Battle) - recme - 01-22-2013 "OH YEAH, TIME TO BOOGY!!" The idle looks to energized for someone like Geno. He should have somewhat of a serious idle. I made an edit to illustrate my point. Maybe if you don't want to hide the hands, make him cross his hands. RE: Geno Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (Battle) - Ton - 01-22-2013 That is a much better idle. Not perfect, but on the way.The cape flow still needs some direction as well. RE: Geno Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (Battle) - megamario1234 - 01-23-2013 I just changed the idle starting pose for Geno. Instead of making Geno move his fists in a circle, would it be better if I make Geno move his fists up and down very slowly? While Geno move his fists up and down slowly, this would show his slow breathing animation. RE: Geno Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (Battle) - Ton - 01-24-2013 I think Geno is calmer than that, honestly. RE: Geno Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (Battle) - Shade - 01-24-2013 Yeah, I'd imagine a "I'm too chill to guard, because I don't care." kinda' pose. RE: Geno Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (Battle) - Ton - 01-24-2013 Think Clint Eastwood. Keeps himself covered up until it's time to shoot something in the face. RE: Geno Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (Battle) - megamario1234 - 02-03-2013 Hmm.. does this idle look serious on Geno? |
