RE: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - Kriven - 01-25-2013 I'd be cool with getting Team Fortress. But that's all I can say right now... " -S0L a.k.a. Steve Lycett I see Ryo happening. But I also am weighing it will be Billy Hatcher, for the reason that he is not present on his stage, yet his friends are. If they were sure he wasn't gonna be in, he'd be there as a cameo. I think kinda gives away it's a reserved spot for him. RE: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - NICKtendo DS - 01-27-2013 Billy isn't in the game because he was planned and even went through the concept phase. However, they failed to come up with a proper design for all 3 vehicle modes, so he was dropped in favor of time and money. Perhaps SEGA pitched him, but I think it's unlikely, because the purpose of the massive voting that was going on was to come with 3 characters (which became 7 due to the scale) we wanted Steve to pitch to SEGA. Billy did not make it into the list. RE: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - Keychain - 02-01-2013 I can see Billy coming back as DLC. Loving this game btw! It's a lot more tense than Mario Kart is, in my opinion. RE: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - AuraLancer - 02-02-2013 I'm thinking about picking this up alongside the WiiU when I get one. How is the screen used? RE: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - NICKtendo DS - 02-02-2013 I've pre-ordered the 3DS version with my friend Cyber Maroon. Hopefully in less than a week, we can finally play the game. SEGA is being very quiet about the 3DS version, but the same went for Vita. I'm curious what kind of exclusive content the 3DS version has. The Miis I'm sure of, but I'm guessing that there's some kind of Streetpass functionality involved, like exchanging licenses. RE: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - Keychain - 02-02-2013 Shameless self-posting, but here's some gameplay by me if you guys wanted to see some before buying. RE: Traffic Attack Hate General - McMaxxis - 02-02-2013 They'll probably won't put other exclusive stuff on the portable ones besides the Miis... But then again, Sumo has blown my mind with each version so far, so high hopes for that! (02-02-2013, 02:39 AM)AuraLancer Wrote: I'm thinking about picking this up alongside the WiiU when I get one. How is the screen used? When you're playing on your TV, the screen is used as a map so you can see how near you are from your opponents. When you slide down on the gamepad at anytime, it takes the role of the TV as the TV just flashes "Wii U Gamepad Mode." To revert to it, all it takes is another slide up, simple as that! Picking up the gamepad and playing it in bed is the best thing ever. RE: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - AuraLancer - 02-02-2013 Alright, cool. I already know I like the gameplay because I tried the PS3 demo. RE: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - NICKtendo DS - 02-02-2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=B1EWO5iC7KQ#t=661s Someone managed to get the 3DS version way early. As expected, the graphics cannot compete with the console versions, but IMO, it looks better that the Vita version (yay for water that isn't a single color). The uploader mentioned the graphics required a cut in the framerate, but I'm never bothered with 30FPS. Some cosmetic features were cut aswell, like the generating track (that is now just there) in Galactic Parade and the physics in Ralph's wreckingball. NiGHTS' (and presumably Reala's) All-Star is now a plane instead of the character itself to save space. Just as I suspected, it has Streetpass. What it does, I don't know, but from the looks of it, I'm right: You can exchange your license. It's easier than the console version, which is a shame, yet a relieve at the same time. I just want to race with my friends and NOT break my 3DS because of Traffic Attack. It's been told it's better than Mario Kart 7. I suspected so, so either way, it'll be money well spent. It also includes an option for Add-on content. Clearly meant for Metal Sonic and OutRun Bay, but when the fan selected DLC is ready, I assume a certain blue dot will mark the game window and have me tap this button once more. RE: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - Novally - 02-04-2013 This game was so pointless at as a Sonic game. It's fun but makes no sense at all as a Sonic game. I wish they remade Sonic R. RE: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - Zero Kirby - 02-04-2013 Well if you think about when has Sonic ever flown a plane, sailed a boat, or driven a car? I mean this Sonic game is just especially ridiculous for combining all three! |
