If you guys want to do this, then that's fine, but you'll need a person to organise this. This person will be responsible for deciding brackets, spriting subjects, deciding on appropriate judges/judging the work themselves, and ensuring that all entrants finish their shit on time. A team of people is feasible, but there's very likely to be instances of favouritism or bias if that happens.
Unless said person is a moderator, don't expect the mod team to help out with this, beyond sticking the appropriate threads.
So I ask you - who here is willing to do a shitload of work for very little reward?! =D

tSR alone is a bad idea. I'm sorry, but 1up, Dex, Baboy and Nitty would have the entire competition covered, nobody else would even matter. (feeding egos lol)
I like the tSR vs PT idea way more, it would allow for balance of both sides and would overall be more exciting and impressive than just tSR, and might be more active too. But that's just assumption.
