RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - Heinze - 02-08-2009 Hey, i think he needs to break blocks from the upper part, and need a gaphic for the fireball lauch, and... well, the firebal is passing at the speed of light .-. RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - ChaosBlazeX - 02-08-2009 Any more sprites coming my way soon, Andrio? lol. I just need general sprites of anything really, i.e. the green tubes etc.. .. would it not be better to let other people involve their ideas and sprites aswell, though? I mean, we'll get through it much faster.. but we'll only use the sprites you confirm look good enough, or you could edit them, at least..? .. it'll be more of a forum project then. RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - starboysa - 02-08-2009 Glitch I didn't check for it on Mario and it's hard to explain so that why I did this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKZ9IpMJVXM EDIT: Yes the glitch is with Mario to. A video of my game! lol. -- and cheers man, I just tested this myself, it's all fixed now, thanks so much, that could've gotten bad. Torrents are fully legal and are an excellent way of sharing files. It's just that if one shares copyrighted materials, that's bad. RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - starboysa - 02-08-2009 Well another glitch but no videos. When Mario or Luigi jump on the gomba they fall faster than normal. Is that intended? And fire balls go straight through the red block and red exclamation mark box. And fire balls go straight through the red block and red exclamation mark box.Ah, the Goomba one isn't exactly a glitch, just an unfinished series of events. --and I've already fixed that fireball one, cheers anyway though. .. and to anyone else who helps me find any serious glitches in the demo's that I release; I'll include you in the BETA Testers credit too. Other glitches that I have fixed which are still visible in the most recent demo are; - Mario/Luigi getting stuck underneath Empty Blocks or Red Block for a few seconds before falling again.. - Double-Jumping if the Jump Key is held when colliding into a block at a specific angle.. - Killing Goomba's just by walking into them.. - Coins not coming out of the '?' Boxes when hit.. .. so don't bring them up. RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - andrio - 02-09-2009 A friend of mine actually found out you could save yourself from falling down the edge by holding the jump, but it works the same as Double-Jumping. - Fireball Throw Poses (2nd one is in midair) In this sheet: - My Weegee - Ducking Poses (forgot about death pose DX) - Breeze Animation - Better Window frame - Pipes - ! blocks - Better clouds (i didn't like the other ones) Kirbyfan! This is your lucky day! You can help RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - ChaosBlazeX - 02-09-2009 Yay! Alas, new sprites! Ooh!! The custom window looks nice, although it's SUCH a drag to implement it into the game over what I've already done. Gonna take a while adjusting all the screen sizes all over again... dang.. I really don't know why, but I swear I have like, a personal grudge against your own Luigi. Dx lolol -- I think it's either the funny french mustache, or I've either just grown too attached to HunterZ's version. x____x; lolol. RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - ChaosBlazeX - 02-09-2009 I'll release an updated version of the Demo in the upcoming weeks, just gotta clears a few bugs and add a few details first. RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - ChaosBlazeX - 02-11-2009 Hey y'all!! I've been working my butt off all week, and the game has been majorly improved since the last demo - so I plan to take a break whilst Andrio makes bigger and better sprite sheets for other levels for me. So please, test and comment away! ..and report any glitches. The Demo is pretty big now, it contains one fully working level, and just for entertainment purposes I included ONE cheat for you guys to mess around with. I disabled the rest for the real game, lol. EDIT: Andrio, I havn't added the newer Luigi Skin yet, but when I do, I think I'll make two alternatives for Weegee'. DOWNLOAD HERE (Available for 7 days ONLY!) Notable Additions: - One Fully Complete Stage - Collective Score System - Combo System/Kills - Music/SFX - Red Coin System - New Window Frame - Pause Game Screen [Enter Key] - Checkpoint Save(s) - Number of Glitches Fixed - Suitable Fireball Physics? xP - Basic Main Menu - Cheat Menu/Mode - Adjustable Screen-Sizes Mid-Gameplay RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - Kairos - 02-11-2009 The Fireball should bounce, not float. Other than that, it's good. Also, the differences between Mario and Luigi in the latest games is Luigi jumps higher and runs faster, but he slides a bit when he stops. Don't know if that had been mentioned, but I remember someone asking in this thread. RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - Alpha Six - 02-11-2009 Oh wow, this is very nice. I love the slight puzzle element thrown into the game. The only problem I see is some slight collision detection errors. Finish this pls. C: RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - andrio - 02-11-2009 @Rags: I'm pretty sure 2 people said that, including me, but ChaosBlazeX didn't do it, otherwise Luigi would be able to reach parts Mario couldn't. Which is, A VERY good idea. It's like, alternating between the two to solve puzzles only one can reach. : D Chaos:I think I'll make two alternatives for Weegee'. How about i just slighly fixup Hunterz Weegee. Then we'll ALL be happy. Hopefully. As for the game, LOVE it! Just a few slight little bugs and it's really good - The Fireball goes a bit more downward. I like it so far, it just floats a bit too much. - To jump over walls, you've got to move back in order to get over it. You can't get over it from being right next to it. Either its a collision issue or his jump is just a bit short. As for music & SFX, most of it come from Super Mario World. I've got a guy who's doing the music, but i'm not rushing him, so he has time to make it good. Also, all that art i didn't do (menu's and stuff), i'll start making my own sometime soon. Mostly just the menu icons & the coins. The text and stuff are good. P.S Fix up the Window, if possible. It looked cooler with the chopped edge in the top-left, and that line underneath the window bar has to die.
