Metal Sonic's head seems a tad small for the style, sadly.

General Guy: I think I'll take the second sheet since his hat's more rounded and makes his sprite seem more even.

The linework is great on the Ghoma, though the shading style is more akin to Phantom Fighter than the nes than this game (shading is more rounded and not just along one side of the outline).

To answer color limitations, you may have 3-5 colors per sprite. This reflects the limitations of 8bit platforms from nes - retro arcade. Larger enemies seem to break this rule, but it's moreover that they are composed of seperate sprites with a seperate palette.

As for my next sheet: I am currently working on Mario and Luigi currently. It's going a little slowly due to the fact that I'm juggling different activities, but I'm getting there. :p

Ok, so I thought I would try Cheep Cheep, and have only really done colors and lineart at the time

anything look weird?

They look too wide...
Compare those to the original and they look a bit strange.

Yeah, they look a little wide. Not to mention that the face is kind of odd and doesn't really strike me as the Cheep-Cheep enemy from the games.

Better?

A little better, but the face still seems off.

Uploading a sheet I already finished the Faxanadu Priest. If no one remembers the cross, it was because it was removed in the US and UK (I think) versions.

Looking good. I'm counting on next week onwards to make some progress.

Hi. I I know this project since some times, and I wanted to help, so I made an Omega from Final Fantasy V. Right now, I'm doing the outlines, and it's not finished.
Please tell me what you think about it.
And SMithy, please tell me if it's gonna be used so I can work more on it.

Edit: Oops, yeah that's Final Fantasy V ^^;

Whoa, where did that HD Omega come from? And it's from FF5, not 7.

Looking good, Smithy. Wonderful job.

If the PSP version of Final Fantasy was based on Dawn of Souls, than it's because Omega was a bonus boss in it.
